At Splash, we get to see fatherhood in a hundred little moments.

It is the dad arriving before sunrise for his morning laps.

The dad chasing excited kids through the gates with towels, goggles and half the house packed into one bag.

The dad watching from the sidelines, meeting a mate for coffee, sharing breakfast with the family or spending a long afternoon poolside while the kids make memories.

It is the dad encouraging one more lap, joining in the fun, volunteering with the local club or simply being the familiar face who always shows up.

And behind so many brave little swimmers is a dad who believed they could do it before they believed it themselves.

The dad who carried them into their very first swimming lesson.

Who sat on the pool deck through every nervous moment.

Who practised bubbles in the bath and celebrated two independent strokes like an Olympic gold medal.

The dad who stood at the edge of the pool saying, “You’ve got this.”

Then one day, “I’m scared” became “Watch me, Dad!”

These are the moments that make our aquatic centres, swim schools and cafés so much more than places to swim, learn or grab a coffee. They are places where families spend time together, milestones are celebrated and memories are made.

To the dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures across our Splash community, thank you for the early mornings, the wet hugs, the loud cheers, the quiet encouragement and every ordinary moment that means more than you realise.

For those missing someone special today, we know Father’s Day can feel a little different. You are part of our Splash family and we are thinking of you too.

For the right people, Splash will cover the cost of your nationally recognised Swim Teacher qualification, First Aid and CPR.

We can teach you the skills. We are looking for people who bring the energy, patience and heart.

Shifts are available:

✅ During school hours
✅ After school
✅ Weekends

Current casual hourly rates:
Age 16: $18.18 per hour
Age 17: $21.49 per hour
Age 18: $24.79 per hour
Age 19: $28.09 per hour
Age 20 and over: $33.05 per hour

Plus super, with applicable penalty rates.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and hold a paid Blue Card.

Looking for work that fits around school drop off, pick up and the kids?

We’re looking for some brilliant people to join the Splash team for Term 4 and Term 1, working:

🕘 9:00am to 2:00pm
📅 Monday to Friday
🎒 During school terms

And here’s the best part…

You don’t need to already be qualified. We’ll train you!

Splash will cover the cost of your:
✅ Nationally recognised qualification
✅ First Aid
✅ CPR

You just need to have a current Blue Card.

No awkward 5am starts.
No working until dinner time.
No trying to figure out who is doing school pick up.

Drop the kids off. Come to work. Finish in time to grab them again 🙌

We’ve got a pretty special PD session happening for our Learn to Swim teachers tomorrow, focused on connection and just how important it is from lesson one.

For those who don’t know these five teachers.. Mitch, Jamie, Jaime, Cass K and Cass P all taught together 10–15 years ago and played a pretty special part in Splash’s Learn to Swim story.

Cass K is also the face behind our Splash Learn to Swim program and has shaped so much of what and how we teach today.

Tomorrow, they’re all hopping back in the pool together and we need some little swimmers to join them!

👶 WE NEED SOME LITTLE SWIMMERS! 👧

This Sunday, our Splash team is coming together at Stockland Swim School for a special professional development session focused on something that sits right at the heart of great swimming lessons… connection.

And we need some swimmers to help us!

We’re offering FREE Learn to Swim lessons this Sunday 16 August as part of the session. You can already swim with Splash or be completely new to us, everyone is welcome!

2:00PM – 2:30PM
8 x Babies 1 — 6–18 months (parent participation in the water required)
3 x Starfish — 2.5 to 4.5 years, not yet swimming independently
4 x Rainbow Fish - 3.5+ years, able to rocket independently
4 x Platypus - beginning freestyle and ready to add breathing
4 x Octopus - freestyle with side breathing

2:30PM - 3:00PM
4 x Rainbow Fish — 3.5+ years, able to rocket independently
4 x Platypus — beginning freestyle and ready to add breathing
4 x Octopus — freestyle with side breathing
4 x Stingray — freestyle, backstroke + introduction to butterfly kick
5 x Frog — full laps of freestyle and backstroke without putting their feet down, plus developing butterfly and breaststroke skills

A little more about this special session 👀

These lessons form part of a professional development session for our Learn to Swim team. A larger group of Splash teachers will be poolside observing the lessons before continuing their PD session once lessons finish.

The session will also be photographed and videoed for training and Splash content, so families participating will need to be comfortable with their child being photographed and filmed.

Our teachers will be focusing on connection, how we build trust with our swimmers, help them feel safe and confident, and create an environment where they’re ready to learn.
