Just a heads up, our friends of the sea are hanging around our shores and we should enter our waters with care.
I was preparing to enjoy some beach therapy one late afternoon recently and not even ankle deep in the water, amongst the seaweed, I felt something sharp pe*****te into my foot. First thinking a crab had nipped me, I very quickly I realised it wasn't a crab as pain started throbbing up my leg.
I had stepped on a cobbler fish, completely minding its own business and boy did it let me know.
If you do get to have this fun experience, immediately get your foot in as hot water as you can handle. Place both feet in to make sure the poisoned foot doesn't scald because not much gets rid of the pain but hot water. What a ride that was.
