🏏 The results are in!

While it wasn't our weekend across all grades, there were still some fantastic moments to celebrate.

✅ A Grade Men came away with a convincing victory against Hornets.
✅ Our A Grade Women secured their first-ever A Grade win, marking another milestone in the growth of our women's program.

A special shoutout to Seth Kennedy, who delivered a remarkable spell of 5/4 off 6.3 overs, helping seal (see what I did there?! 😉) a dominant win. 🔥

As always, we'll learn from the tough days, celebrate the good ones, and go again next weekend.

🏏 Weekend Results Wrap-Up 🏏

It wasn’t the weekend we were hoping for on the scoreboard, but there were still plenty of positives to take away across the club.

A huge congratulations to our B Grade Women, who flew the maroon and gold flag high with our sole victory of the round! 💛❤️

There were some strong individual and team performances throughout the grades, and while the results didn’t fall our way this time, the effort, resilience and club spirit were on display all weekend.

Heads up, Seals! We go again next week! 🦭💪

In the 2019/20 season, Shoalwater Bay Cricket Club took a bold step forward when our inaugural women's teams entered the competition.

What started as a vision to create more opportunities for women and girls in cricket has grown into something truly special.

This weekend marked a historic chapter in our club's story:
🏏 Our first-ever A Grade Women's team took the field.
🏏 Our first-ever all-girls junior team proudly wore the maroon and gold.
🏏 Our B Grade Women's side started the season with a well-deserved victory.

These moments didn't happen overnight. They are the result of years of commitment from past and present committees, coaches, volunteers, players, families and supporters who believed that women's and girls' cricket could thrive at Shoalwater Bay.

Every training session, every conversation, every new player welcomed into the club has helped build towards this moment.

This weekend, we celebrate more than teams taking the field. We celebrate a program that continues to grow, inspire and create opportunities for the next generation of female cricketers.

We also acknowledge those who laid the foundations years ago and those who continue to build on them today. The success we are seeing now is a reflection of the dedication, belief, investment and hard work of so many people across our Seals family.

To everyone who has played a part in this journey, THANK YOU! Because when one part of our club grows stronger, we all grow stronger. As the saying goes, a rising tide lifts all boats. ❤️💛🦭

As all of our grades, from juniors to seniors, take the field this weekend, let's remember that cricket is at its best when played with respect, sportsmanship, and enjoyment for everyone involved.

❤️ Respect everyone.
🤝 Play fair.
👏 Support and encourage your teammates.
⭐ Lead by example.
🏏 Remember to enjoy the game.

Whether you are a player, coach, parent, volunteer, or supporter, we all play a role in creating a positive environment both on and off the field.

Let's make this season one to be proud of.

Play hard. Play fair. Respect the game. ❤️💛🦭
