Barkin Mad Ultra First of its kind in Australia, we bring you the Barkin Mad Ultra. Dogs running to save dogs. Join us on the 5th and 6th October 2024

Dogs running to save dogs!

A 2 KM walk or a 10k walk/run, 20 KM or 50 KM race to Support the Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue INC. The 10km and 20 km will be on the Saturday and the 2 km and 50 km will be on the Sunday. A new race that will strengthen your bond with your best friend, challenge your limits and raise funds to further support the amazing work carried out by the Aus Hair of the Dog INC., dog rescue. We together have the chance to help make positive pawprints for change!

🙌 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BARKIN’ MAD ULTRA 2026! 🐾

Want to be part of an amazing community event while helping rescue dogs?
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us on 3rd & 4th October 2026 at Rokeby Recreation Reserve for Barkin’ Mad Ultra 2026.
Whether you’re a runner taking a break, a dog lover, or simply looking to give back to your community, we’d love to have you on the team!
Volunteer roles may include:
🐕 Course marshals
🥤 Aid station helpers
📋 Registration assistants
📸 social media helpers
🏅 Finish line support
🎪 Event set-up and pack-down
Every volunteer helps us raise funds for Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc and makes a difference in the lives of rescue dogs.

🐾 BARKIN MAD RECCE RUN UPDATE 🐾

A couple of changes to this Sunday’s recce run!

Unfortunately, the Eventurers are no longer able to join us, so we’ll be switching things up slightly. We will now have ONE pace group, with everyone starting on trail at 9:20am.

The course remains exactly the same — our 10km looped Barkin Mad course! 🏃‍♀️🐕

While the Eventurers won’t be there for their pet portraits this Sunday, we’ll still be getting some photos of everyone out enjoying the trail and building the excitement for Barkin Mad Ultra in October. 📸

And there’s still plenty of reasons to come along!

🧢 FREE Barkin Mad buff for everyone who joins us
🏃‍♀️ A chance to recce the course
🐕 Bring your four-legged training buddies!

The full pet portrait experience with the Eventurers will now take place at Barkin Mad Ultra in October, where we’ll make sure your pups get their moment in front of the camera. ❤️

So, we’ll see you Sunday morning — 9:20am on trail follow the Barkin Mad Flags!

Come run, bring your dogs, grab a buff, try some Orijen and get excited for Barkin Mad Ultra! 🐶🏃‍♂️
