13 - 16 Girls, 17 - 19 Girls & 17 - 19 Boys Basketball regional trial - Change of Pathway

Due to the number of nominations for the following age groups / genders in Basketball
13 - 16 Girls
17 - 19 Girls and
17 - 19 Boys

These students will now go directly through to the Darling Downs trial. These students are not required to attend the regional trial in Roma on Wednesday the 7th of October. Students will receive the paperwork for the next level from their schools in Week 1 Term 4.
This information has been communicated directly to nominated students schools.

The 13 - 16 Boys Basketball trials will still progress as planned.

2027 Team Officials applications now open! Team officials positions can now be applied for by accessing the QR / hyperlink from https://southwestschoolsport.eq.edu.au/support-and-resources/officials-information/team-officials.

Please remember that all applicants must have current first aid and be a registered teacher (or hold a current blue card). Staff must have sought the approval from the principal / line manager before applying.

Applications close at 5:00pm on Wednesday the 7th of October.

The following regional trials will be conducted during Term 4
13 - 19 Years Basketball (for 2027) - Roma - 7 October
13 - 19 Years Tennis (for 2027) - Roma - 8 October
13 - 15 Year Girls Softball (for 2027) - Charleville - 9 Ocotber
13 - 19 Aquathlon (for 2027) - Kawana (in conjunction with the Tri Australia All Schools event) - 10 October
13 - 19 Triathlon (for 2027) - Kawana (in conjunction with the Tri Australia All Schools event) - 11 October
13 - 19 Football (Soccer) (for 2027) - Chinchilla - 22 October
11 - 12 & 13- 19 Multiclass Aquathlon (for 2027) - Dalby - 23 October

Please note to attend a regional trial students must have attended and been selected into their respective district team. Please see your school's sport coordinator for more information around upcoming district trials relating to the above events.
