🏐 SOCIAL COMP UPDATE ❤️🖤

Season 2 just got bigger! Due to high demand, we’re expanding to 12 teams across two divisions:

🏐 Division A — approx. Advanced
🏐 Division B — approx. Intermediate
👥 6 teams per division
🏆 Prizes for 1st & 2nd in both divisions

TEAMMATE REQUESTS 🤝

If you and another player request each other, your teammate request will be guaranteed, provided you both successfully secure a spot.

Teams will have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 7 players.

Registration is still individual and first in, first served, so spots cannot be held for a group. With only 84 spots total, make sure your teammates register early!

You can also nominate your preferred division when registering. Division placement isn’t guaranteed as we still need to balance the competition.

⚫🔴 MVC MIXED SOCIAL COMPETITION: SEASON 2 🏐

Season 2 is here! Get ready for eight weeks of competitive social volleyball, a stronger field and the same MVC energy.

📅 Wednesdays, 14 October – 2 December 2026
⏰ 7:00pm–10:00pm
🏐 Game times: 7:10pm and 8:35pm
📍 Disability Sports Centre of Excellence, Rooty Hill
💰 $155 per player
🔞 Players must be 18+
🏆 Prizes for the first and second-placed teams

Registration is individual and limited to 56 players—eight teams of seven. Players will nominate their preferred position and may request teammates; however, final team allocations cannot be guaranteed.

All players must hold a current MVC and Volleyball NSW membership for insurance purposes. A Recreational Membership is suitable for this competition.

Key rules:

• Each team must include at least one female player
• At least one female player must be on court at all times
• No permanent middle or permanent libero
• Teams will be rostered for refereeing and duty
• Roof and light contacts remain live if the ball stays on the same side

Position allocations may fill before overall registrations close, so get in early to secure your preferred position.

🏆 MVC POSTER COMPETITION — WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

We said there’d be one winner… but after seeing the effort everyone put in, there was no way we could choose just one.

Before we get to the winners, a massive thank you to the entire MVC fam for the support you brought to our Grand Final. The posters, thunder sticks, drum, chants and noise from the stands created an atmosphere we won’t forget. You showed up for the team in a massive way, and we genuinely appreciate every single person who was part of it.

And to everyone who entered the Poster Competition — you made judging ridiculously difficult. After plenty of deliberation, we landed on our Top 3:

🥇 1st Place — Jomar

Sometimes less is more. MINDSET. One word, one massive banner and impossible to miss from the court. Simple, bold and a perfect representation of the mentality that carried MVC throughout the season.

Prize: MVC Social Jersey signed by Jem & Isabel

🥈 2nd Place — Ree

The amount of effort and personality packed into this one was hard to overlook. From the handmade lettering and team photo to the signatures, references and inside jokes scattered across the poster — it was basically MVC lore on a board.

Prize: 1x FREE MVC Socials session

🥉 3rd Place — Jo

We loved the creativity of turning a poster into interchangeable scoreboard-style signs that could actually be used throughout the game. Original, interactive and made specifically to support the team on the day.

Prize: MVC socks signed by Jem & Isabel

We also had several Honourable Mentions because there were simply too many great entries to stop at three. They’ll be receiving a little something from us as well — we’ll reach out directly.

More than anything, thank you. Whether you made a poster, grabbed a thunder stick, joined the chants, got behind the drum, screamed from the sidelines or simply came along to support — you helped make the Grand Final feel like an MVC home game.

That support meant a lot to the players and to the club.

First of all - thank you to our family for the unreal support, and to Send It Volleyball Club (SIV) for a great Grand Final! 🏆

Thank you to all the coaches, admins, and Volleyball NSW that put in the time and effort to make this season possible. 🫶

Finally, to our boys - congratulations, what a season. Months of dedication, determination, and - leading up to such a deserved win. ❤️🖤 We are all so proud of you.

What a way to wrap up SVL 2026, keep an eye out for more of - and we can’t wait to see you all next year for another medal! 😉
