SIGNING NEWS 🧦 Welcome Lachlan Rosser!

Lachie is a 6'7" left-hander from Wollongong, and he's just finished a terrific first year of college baseball in Kansas.

As a freshman at Hutchinson Community College, he made 10 starts, won six games and threw a complete game. He struck out 72 batters in 73.2 innings, and opposing hitters managed only a .231 average against him. On average, he allowed barely more than one baserunner an inning.

A tall left-hander is one of the toughest at-bats in baseball, and Lachie is exactly that. We can't wait to see him on the mound at Blacktown.

Welcome to the Sox, Lachie. ⚡

What a start to the Sydney Blue Sox Slugger Series!

A huge shout out to for doing an outstanding job hosting the Western Rumble tournament at Andrews Road Baseball Complex today!

What a fantastic day of junior baseball! The kids had an absolute ball, the coaches embraced the spirit of the tournament, and the strength of our baseball community was on full display.

A massive thank you to all the umpires, Penrith volunteers, coaches, parents and everyone who went above and beyond to make today such a success and a special experience for our young players.

The Slugger Series was created to provide development opportunities not just for players, but for coaches, umpires and team staff alike. The way everyone approached today’s tournament was exactly what we hoped to achieve. 👏

SIGNING 🧦 Welcome Josh Beezley!

The right-hander joins us for the 2026/27 ABL season, and he arrives off the back of a season that tells you plenty about him.

Josh made 29 appearances for Little Rock in American Division I college baseball last year and didn't lose a single one of them, finishing 3-0 with a 3.57 ERA.

What stands out most is the improvement. Two seasons ago he walked 19 batters across 24 innings. Last season he walked nine in just over 40. That's a bloke who went away, worked out what needed fixing, and came back a better pitcher.

He's a genuine bullpen arm too — 72 college appearances, not one of them a start. He wants the ball late.

Welcome to Blacktown, Josh. ⚡

Who's the best bullpen arm you've watched pull on a Sox uniform? 👇

Welcome home, Josh!

The 23-year-old right-handed pitcher from Mona Vale joins the Blue Sox after three seasons in US college baseball and representing Australia at the U23 World Cup.

In this final season at Little Rock Josh appeared in 29 games, posting a 3-0 record with one save and a 3.57 ERA over 40.1 innings. Now he's heading back to NSW.

SIGNING NEWS 🧦 You'll want to see this bloke in person.

James Boeree stands seven feet tall. For a bit of perspective: the tallest pitcher in the history of Major League Baseball is 6'11". James is taller.

He's signed with the Blue Sox for the 2026/27 season, and it's a homecoming — he first pulled on the blue as a 17-year-old back in January 2018. Since then he's played college ball in Utah and spent last season pitching professionally in the Frontier League in the United States.

Here's why the height matters. From that frame, the ball leaves his hand nearly a metre closer to the batter than usual. Hitters get less time to react and face an angle almost none of them will have seen before.

Come and stand next to him at the ballpark this summer. You'll understand. ⚡
