Good news for local sport.

The Chris Minns NSW Labor Government announced the latest round of the Local Sport Grant Program — with more than $48,000 going to four local clubs in our area.

Across NSW, $4.49 million is being delivered to 586 projects — supporting better facilities, new equipment and programs that help people get active.

Redfern All Blacks RLFC, Newtown Junior Australian Rules Football Club Inc - Newtown Swans, Mascot Kings Football (Soccer) Club and Bunnerong Gymnastics are receiving support for equipment, safety upgrades and participation.

These clubs run on volunteers, families and a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Backing them matters.

🎉 Huge congratulations to our five boys who competed over the weekend — all qualifying for State Championships! 🌟 Every athlete gave it their all, and we couldn’t be prouder. Some standout moments:

💥 Hughie – 4th AA in Level 4 Under & highest ranked club gymnast in NSW for his age!
💪 Deacan – 9th AA in Level 4 Open with a personal best AA score!
🔥 Seb – 11th AA (10th in NSW) in Level 3 Under with a huge PB!
🚀 Elliot – 21st AA (18th in NSW) in Level 3 Under, also hitting a PB!
👏 Joey – 25th AA (21st in NSW) in his first ever comp — amazing effort!

These results reflect the boys’ dedication, positive mindset, and hard work in the gym. A massive thank you to all the supportive parents too!
