📢 OLYMPIC PARK OVAL 1 RESURFACING

We are pleased to confirm that major resurfacing works have commenced today on Olympic Park Oval 1.

Approximately two-thirds of the playing surface (12,635 sqm) will be re-surfaced using 50 mm deep couch turf being trucked in from South Australia on nineteen B-double trucks. It is understood that the eastern third of the ground will be resurfaced after the football season has concluded.

This is a significant investment in our facilities and, importantly, is expected to ensure Oval 1 remains playable for the remainder of the football season.

The works are expected to be completed by 20 June, with the ground to be closed until at least 27 June to allow the new turf to establish.

To accommodate the temporary closure of Oval 1, the senior and junior clubs have worked collaboratively to adjust training arrangements and game scheduling to maximise the use of the available space.

If everything goes to plan, the first major activity on the ground will be when we host Dromana Tigers on Saturday 27 June. We thank Edithvale Aspendale Football Netball Club for their cooperation in switching our Round 10 and Round 17 fixtures.

We also sincerely thank the staff of the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council for their tireless work and advocacy to secure this outcome for our community.

Due to major ground remediation works, this week's home game has been swapped with Edi Asp. We'll now play at Regents Park this week, with the return match at our home ground moved to Round 17.

A big thank you to Edithvale Aspendale Football Netball Club for their flexibility and support in making this change possible!

The Rosebud Football Netball Club is ecstatic to announce the re-signing of Senior Coach Danny Ades for a further two years.

Since taking charge, Danny has transformed the senior program and helped drive a new era of success and belief at the club. His leadership has been central to Rosebud’s rise as a consistent contender in the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League.

A defining moment of his tenure came in 2025, when he guided the club to a history-making Division 1 premiership in a memorable Grand Final victory, etching his name into Rosebud’s proud history.

The club is excited to continue its journey under Danny’s guidance as we look to build on the strong foundations already established.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Danny’s wife, Mads, for her unwavering support. It does not go unnoticed, and the club is sincerely grateful for everything she does behind the scenes to support Danny and, by extension, the wider Rosebud Football Netball Club community 💙🤍
