The Buds are back home this Saturday night for a massive Round 11 clash against Baxter SC.

Baxter are currently the closest club to us in the league, and the only other Mornington Peninsula side in State League 4 South-East, meaning it is derby day at Olympic Park.

With both senior sides sitting level on 14 points, there is plenty to play for as we reach our final game for the first half of the season.

Reserves kick off at 4pm
Seniors kick off at 6pm

Get down, make some noise, support the boys, and stick around for a feed, souvlakis are on!

ROUND 10 RESULTS

A tough trip away to East Kew saw both senior sides battle hard at Willsmere Park.
In the Reserves, the Buds started strongly through Sean Smith and dominated possession for large parts of the game, but could not turn that control into enough clear chances on goal. East Kew hit back with two first-half goals and held on to take the points.

In the Seniors, the Buds kept fighting right until the end. Although we did not dominate large parts of the game, the boys showed character to keep pushing, with Elliott Craig converting a stoppage-time penalty to secure a point on the road.

Substitute and new signing Noah Musso was unlucky not to find a winner late, with the East Kew goalkeeper producing two incredible saves to keep them in the game.

It showed character to take something from the match, but we know we have to go to another level if we want to get what we want from this league.

There is no fixture this coming weekend, with State League Men’s taking a break for the King’s Birthday long weekend.

We return to action on Saturday 13 June at home against Baxter.

We’re back on the road this Saturday as we travel to Willismere Park to take on East Kew FC.

With the season closing in on the halfway point, the ladder is starting to take shape, and every point matters in what is proving to be a tight and competitive State League 4 South-East campaign.

After a disappointing result at home last weekend, the boys will be looking for a strong response away from home.

Travelling support would be greatly appreciated.

Reserves: 1:00pm KO
Seniors: 3:00pm KO
Venue: Willismere Park, East Kew

A tough night at Olympic Park against a strong Ringwood City outfit.

The Reserves showed great character after going 3 goals down early, fighting their way back into the contest through a good goal from Jakob Markulin and a superb free kick from Michael Turner. The comeback nearly had legs, but Ringwood held on to take the points, 3-2.

In the Seniors, Ringwood showed why they are one of the strongest footballing sides we have faced this season. A difficult first half left us chasing the game, and despite changes after the break and a late goal from Elliott Craig, we could not recover the result.

Not the home result we wanted, but we regroup and go again.

19/05/2026

This Saturday we welcome second-placed Ringwood City to Besgrove Street for a huge home fixture.

Reserves: 4:00pm
Seniors: 6:00pm
Venue: Olympic Park, Rosebud

The reserves come in off a well-earned win, while the seniors are looking to bounce back after two frustrating results where the boys played the second half with 10 men in back-to-back games.
Ringwood will be a serious challenge, but the boys are ready to give themselves every chance to get back on the winners list.

The canteen will be firing, with spit-roasted souvlakis pumping out, drinks available from the bar, and plenty of local football to enjoy.

Get down to Besgrove Street, grab some food and a drink, and get behind the lads.

Up the Budders !!

FULL TIME AT FROG HOLLOW 🌹

The seniors started brightly, taking the lead inside three minutes after a Charlie Gunning cross was helped on by Connor Wharton and bundled over the line by Jack Heseltine. The Buds created chances early, before the game became scrappy and Duncan McPherson was shown red just before half-time.

With 45 minutes to play down to ten men, the boys stayed organised, disciplined, and worked right through to the final whistle. Enzo Rosenblum made save after save to keep us in the contest, before Riversdale found their equaliser midway through the second half. Not the result we wanted, but a point earned through effort.

The reserves put in one of their best footballing performances of the year, playing calm, quick, and controlled football from back to front. Naish opened the scoring with a composed finish into the far corner, before Ollie Brown grabbed his first of the season with a proper striker’s finish to seal a strong 2-1 win.

That result marks the reserves’ second win of the season, and a deserved reward for the football they played on the day.

Saturday also saw Stu Johnston join Hatzi on the sidelines as co-coach, helping guide the reserves group as they continue to develop.

We go again.
