DECEPTION BAY, QLD — Moreton City Pickleball has officially announced one of its biggest community events to date, with President Darren and Vice President Joanne unveiling plans for a 24-hour Pickle-a-thon to be held on 10–11 October 2026 in support of the White Cloud Foundation .

The event will see pickleball played continuously for 24 hours, bringing together players of all ages and abilities in celebration of World Pickleball Day, while raising vital funds and awareness for mental health.

With a fundraising goal of $10,000, organisers are calling on the local community to get involved by playing, volunteering, donating or simply cheering from the sidelines.

The 24-hour schedule will feature something for everyone, including, Junior Pickle Jam, Corporate Challenge, Advanced Play, Teen Twilight Takeover, Twilight Social, Singles Showdown, Dinks After Dark, Midnight Club Clash, Sunrise Bootcamp, DUPR Play and a Grand Finale to close out the marathon event.

The event is being planned, organised and delivered by Moreton City Pickleball committee members Andy, Joanne and Lorraine, who have been working behind the scenes to create an unforgettable community event. Together, they are coordinating sponsorships, fundraising initiatives, volunteers, entertainment and a packed schedule of activities to ensure the Pickle-a-thon is more than just 24 hours of pickleball—it’s a celebration of community supporting an important cause.

“This isn’t just about seeing how long we can play pickleball,” organisers said. “It’s about bringing our community together for an incredible cause and showing what can be achieved when everyone plays a small part.”

Over the coming weeks, Moreton City Pickleball will reveal sponsors, prizes, special activities and behind-the-scenes updates as preparations continue for what promises to be one of the club’s most ambitious community events.
