⛳ OKAY… LET’S TALK ABOUT OUR HOLES! ⛳😂
A little while ago we put the call out looking for HOLE CAPTAINS to take a little ownership of a hole at the Roxby Downs Golf Club…
And well… let’s just say we haven’t exactly had people knocking the clubhouse door down to claim one! 🤣
So, we’re putting the challenge out there again! 👊
🏌️♀️🏌️♂️ WE NEED HOLE CAPTAINS!
And before anyone panics — we're not asking you to spend every weekend working on the golf course!
We’re simply asking members, local businesses, sporting clubs, families or groups of mates to adopt a hole and help us give it a little extra TLC throughout the year. 🌿❤️
Maybe there’s a hole that drives you absolutely CRAZY every week? 😂
Lost enough golf balls under that one particular tree?
Always complaining about the bushes when your ball somehow mysteriously ends up in them? 🤔🤣
Well… here’s your chance to do something about it!
Grab a couple of mates, claim that hole and make it yours! 🙌
🌿 What does a Hole Captain do?
🌿 Give it a tidy-up when needed.
🗑️ Pick up rubbish.
🌱 Whipper snip and clear vegetation where permitted.
👀 Keep an eye out for anything needing attention.
⛳ Help keep the fairway markers and surrounds looking good.
❤️ Take a little pride in YOUR hole!
You don’t have to do it alone either. Get a group together and share the job. Come down, have a few drinks, have a laugh and spend an hour giving your hole some love.
⚠️ A few important rules
You can't go rogue with the chainsaw because a tree ruined your perfect drive! 😂🌳
No removing trees or limbs, moving fairway markers or making major changes without speaking with the committee first.
Any bigger ideas or improvements just need to come through the committee for approval.
Our golf course doesn't look after itself, and as a volunteer-run club, every little bit of help makes a massive difference.

We’d love to see more local businesses, sporting clubs, families, members or groups of mates jump on board and claim a hole.
Maybe we need to start naming and shaming the unloved holes… 😂
