⚡ Seeking Coaches for VRDL Bee Team ⚡
The VRDL Bees are looking for around 3 - 4 coaches to assist with team selection decisions, running regular training sessions and bench coaching at games. We're looking for people with great gameplay knowledge, excellent communication skills and regular availability on Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Saturday 12:30 - 3:00 pm.

Please note that session coaching and bench coaching might be filled by different people - we're after a team that can work together to make great things happen.

Derby Fest COVID Update. #2
After consulting the Derby community both participants and coaches it is with a heavy heart that we need to announce the cancellation of Derby Fest 2021. Many late nights have been spent working to make the event possible for the Australian Derby community and we appreciate everyone's support. At the end of the day constantly opening and closing national borders and the feedback from the majority of coaches and participants was they could not risk being isolated from their communities prior to the return to work and school. Any event we could run would not be in alignment with the celebration, fun, quality and learning people expect from Derby Fest.

Again we apologise for any inconvenience and are so grateful for the support of you the coaches and participants. All participants are eligible for a full refund or credit for Derby Fest 2022 please message us with your preference if you haven’t already. We have decided to start planning an even better Derby Fest 2022 when we can hopefully all be together from around Australia and possibly the world. We invite you all to watch this space for details.

Bianca is a skater and skater coach with the VRDL All Stars. In her 6 seasons on the team she’s racked up a tidy pile of WFTDA Championship medals (3 Bronze, 1 Silver, 1 Gold) and helped shape and change how her team play defence.

When she’s not skating Bianca is usually busy training Acrobalance, downhill mountain biking or baking something tasty.

She’s spent 2020 hiding out from Covid 19 in Tassie - working online, coaching some of the local derby teams and cutting laps around the state’s amazing mountain bike trails. Derby Fest will be the start of her return to the mainland and her team mates at VRDL.

Coaching experience over 4+ years and playing experience many years before that. Key position is as offensive and defensive blocker but is happy to take the star to jam.

Tanties is a very person-centred coach who thrives on other people’s success. Her coaching style has been described as enthusiastic, full of flavour, engaging, and passionate. Tanties puts body positivity first and supports all players to find their strengths on the track.
