BRED HERE. RACED EVERYWHERE.
That line isn’t just a slogan. It’s a bit of truth we’re proud to stand behind.
The Hunter Valley isn’t flash for the sake of it. It’s good soil, early mornings, steady hands and generations who’ve learnt how to raise a proper thoroughbred. Horses that don’t just turn up on race day, they carry a piece of this country with them every time the gates fly.
There’s something special about knowing a horse competing on the world stage started out on these rolling hills. Raised right. Educated properly. Given every chance from day one. That’s the quiet confidence that comes from doing things well at home.
At Australian Bloodstock, we back that heritage. We believe where a horse is bred matters. The land matters. The people matter. And when it all comes together, you get athletes ready to race anywhere.
If you’re keen to be part of something built on solid ground, have a chat with us or jump on the website and see what we’re about. Even if it’s just to share in a bit of pride about what’s bred right here in the Hunter.

Mission accomplished for Defiantly ✅
What a tough, professional performance from Australian Bloodstock’s progressive son of Kameko, taking out the Group 2 Sumbe Prix Kergorlay with a gutsy front-running display and securing a ballot-exempt guaranteed start in the 2026 Melbourne Cup.
A lovely steer from Dylan Browne McMonagle for Joseph O’Brien, and Defiantly really put the race to bed, stretching clear to win by 5.5 lengths. That’s a proper staying performance.
Joseph summed it up well, he’s a stayer going the right way. And as Jamie Lovett said, if he comes through the race well, Melbourne looks the obvious target.
From the pre-race calm to a commanding result, this was another big moment for our owners and the Australian Bloodstock team. Plenty to look forward to now. 🏆🇦🇺

That’s a fair leap in class, isn’t it? 🏇
Not long ago, we were talking about a Class 1 horse taking the next step. Now the conversation has shifted all the way to the Melbourne Cup, and it’s a terrific reminder of how quickly things can change in racing when the right horse, the right team and the right timing come together.
The full story on the website is well worth a read, with the background, the progression and what this exciting next chapter could mean. It’s the sort of racing journey that gives owners and fans plenty to smile about without getting too far ahead of ourselves. 🇦🇺🏆

A big step on the Melbourne Cup path 🇫🇷🐎
Definately has arrived in France ahead of his run in the Group 2 Kergolay, where a top 3 finish would see him qualify for the Melbourne Cup.
He’s settled into his new home and, fair to say, the accommodation looks pretty sharp. Stall 9 has a nice ring to it.
Exciting times for the Australian Bloodstock team and all involved. Now we wait for race day.

That was a fair old finish.
To most, it looked like he’d come from nowhere, but the website story makes it pretty clear this didn’t happen by accident. The people closest to him had seen the signs, trusted the build-up, and knew there was a serious racehorse waiting to step out.
It’s a good reminder in racing that the big moment is usually only the last part of a much longer story. The patience, the confidence, the quiet belief, that’s the bit worth reading. 🐎
We’ve got the full piece up now, including why this win meant more than just a result on paper.

Pereille’s record deserves a proper look. 🐎
He might not always be the one flashing past the post first, but what he’s doing is seriously rare. The latest website story digs into a set of numbers no other horse in Australia has ever put together, and they’re the sort of stats that make you stop and read them twice.
It’s a great little reminder that racing isn’t always just about the win column. Consistency, durability and performance at the top level still tell a pretty powerful story.
If you like your racing with a bit of substance behind it, this one is well worth a read. 👀

Nice little Saturday setup for the team today. 🏇
We’ve got a few genuine winning chances stepping out, and the website post has the key runners, race details and the sort of form notes worth a quick look before they jump.
As always, it’s about doing the homework, spotting the right opportunity and enjoying the ride without getting carried away. A couple here look well placed, so it’s worth checking the full preview before the first of them goes around. 📲
Good luck to all connections and owners today. Let’s hope there’s a winner or two in the mix. 🍀
