Monday nights in our Kids Classes with Sensei Jenna 🥋🔥

A bit of everything tonight — working through the basics, putting some rounds in on the bags, and finishing up with a fun physical activity to test the fitness (and maybe the competitive spirit 😏).

Good training, good energy and plenty of laughs along the way.

That’s how we like to start the week at Guy’s Karate School 👊

🥋 The road to Black Belt.

These young martial artists are putting in the work as they prepare for their Black Belt grading next month.

Black Belt isn’t about being the strongest, the fastest or the best fighter in the room.

It symbolises years of consistency, discipline, resilience and personal growth.

It represents all the classes they showed up to when they didn’t feel like it. The techniques they struggled with. The mistakes they made, learned from and tried again.

And perhaps most importantly, it represents the person they’ve become along the way.

The grading is just one day.

The journey to get there is what makes the Black Belt mean something.🥋

We’re incredibly proud of these young students and can’t wait to see them take on the challenge next month. 👊

🎙️OUR KARATE AUDIO SPECIALIST🥋

Every dojo needs a specialist… and apparently ours has an audio department. 😂

Dan has been putting in the hard yards perfecting his craft, and with skills like these, we’re expecting a very bright future dubbing low-budget Kung Fu movies.

…dubbed over completely unrelated fight scene…🐉😂

We’re not saying Hollywood is calling…

…but we’re also not saying they’re not. 👀

Meet Skye 🥋❤️

Skye is one of the many Mums who train with us at Guy’s Karate School — and we absolutely love having her on the floor.

Because karate isn’t just for kids.

It’s for parents too. A chance to get moving, challenge yourself, build confidence, get stronger and, most importantly, be part of something with your family.

There’s something pretty special about training alongside your kids and being able to share the same journey with them. ❤️

🥋 **What a day at the Maitland ISKA Tournament!** 🏆

A huge congratulations to the **30 Guy’s Karate students** who stepped onto the mats yesterday and gave it their absolute best!

Between them, our competitors brought home an incredible **63 medals! 🥇🥈🥉**

But more importantly, we’re proud of the courage, sportsmanship, effort and determination shown by every single competitor. Whether they walked away with a medal or simply walked away knowing they gave it everything, they should all be incredibly proud of themselves.

A massive thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who got behind our team and helped make the day such a great experience.

Sensei Jenna brings so much energy, patience and encouragement to every lesson. She has a way of making every student feel welcome, helping nervous beginners grow in confidence and pushing our experienced students to be their very best.

For her, karate is about so much more than kicks and punches—it’s about building confidence, respect, resilience and helping kids become the best version of themselves.
