We’re home! ⚽️ 🔥 ❤️

Today was the offical opening of Newington Reserve and club committee members (past and present) gathered for the celebration.

The grounds are absolute perfection and we can’t wait to host clubs from all over Granville Football Association next year.

Look out for some pre-season events over the coming months!

This Father’s Day, we want to celebrate the soccer dads who help make our club amazing. Which one are you? ⚽️ 🔥 ❤️

🚗 The Chauffeur Service - finding fields you never knew existed, with a Macca’s stop always on the cards.

🧢 The Coach - who works all week on the formation, only for the kids to forget it the second the whistle blows.

📋 The Committee Member - who thought they were volunteering for one small job and now has 47 tasks on their to-do list.

📹 The Video Referee - ready with the footage to confirm that not only was it a foul, but it definitely deserved a yellow!

🚩 The Linesman - “OFFSIDE!” Enough said.

⚽️ The Personal Trainer - squeezing in those after-school 1:1 sessions down at the park.

🏃 The Player - still lacing up every week despite being permanently one tackle away from doing an ACL.

👏 The Supporter - always there with words of encouragement when things get tough.

Whichever one you are, we salute you! 🫡⚽️

From all of us at Newington Gunners, Happy Father’s Day! ❤️

A massive congratulations to every player for the hard work, commitment, teamwork and determination you showed throughout the season. You represented the Gunners with incredible pride and gave our community something very special to celebrate! ❤️

⭐ Man of the Match — Alexander Hamilton
A brilliant performance, Alexander! Congratulations on a well-deserved recognition. 👏

And a HUGE thank you to our incredible 15-year-old coach, Joshua Bartle. 🙌

Joshua, your leadership, dedication and ability to get the best out of the boys has been outstanding. To coach a team at just 15 years of age and lead them all the way to a Grand Final victory is a remarkable achievement. You should be incredibly proud!

Congratulations U14 Gunners! 🏆⚽️

🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL 🚨

It’s just been announced that we have secured the newly built Newington Reserve as our home ground for the winter season!

After 6 long years of waiting, Newington Gunners are finally coming home to Newington!

A huge thank you to Parramatta Council and all the people at all levels of government who made this happen!

And finally a massive thank you to the parents and community who kept our club thriving while we patiently waited for a new home.

The ground officially opens on 9 September and we will proudly announce registrations for our new season in January.

Couldn’t resist a bit of artistic licence with our logo in the first image 😂

The future of the Gunners looks bright! ⚽️ 🔥 ❤️
