Thank you to Dave Pearce from Emperors Divers who came up with the idea 4 years ago. It was a privilege to meet all the resort technicians and to guide them along the service path. It’s been massive and very rewarding. This can only be a step in the right direction to continuously improving and creating new standards of safety. Well done everyone. The best of luck for your future.

TQS (Technician Qualification System) Level 1 training wrapped up in Honiara 🇸🇧

After 10 days of hands-on training, 10 technicians from across the Solomon Islands dive industry have now completed the programme.

A solid effort from everyone involved — and great to see the level of engagement right through to the end.

Participants represented:
Bilikiki Cruises - Solomon Islands, Dive Gizo, Emperor Divers Honiara, Papatura, Master Liveaboards, and Uepi Island Resort

Big thanks to Steve Blume (First Stage Service and Support) for delivering the course and adapting it for local conditions.

Also thanks to Australia's Strongim Bisnis for supporting the training, and Visit Solomon Islands for providing the venue.

With broad participation from most operators across the Solomon Islands, it’s great to see the industry continuing to raise standards together.
