Trev and Johnny - 2024 Sh*tbox Rally

Well Rosie was stripped of her stickers and sold at Auction on the weekend and raised another $900 for Cancer Council. She was an awesome ride and served us so well on the Rally. Day 7 Belyando Crossing to Townsville

We made it!!!! 🚗💨🏁🙌🏾🥳

With added detours we rolled into Townsville last night after over 3,800kms. Rosie the Red Rocket purred across the line like a champ. Had 170kms of unsealed cruisey rds this morning but our buddy group was due to be one of the last to leave camp so with all the traffic it was a casual run taking in the scenery with a quick stop and a freshen up swim in Burdekin Dam. Once we crossed the finish line we were straight to the pool in the hotel and a few beers with the buddy group.

Day 6 was Isisford to Belyando Crossing. Was 50/50 sealed and unsealed but the offroad stuff was way less rocky than the earlier days. Just heavy corrugations and washouts in the flood ways..... and the cows 🐄 🙄..... everywhere. Few near misses and some skids in the gravel and in the un**es. Also it was Angela's birthday from our buddy group team Tassie Tigers - Sh*tbox Rally Spring 2024
Tonight at camp was about emptying your esky as it's the last night so we all had a few with Ange 🍻🍻 Happy Birthday Legend 🤙🏾🙌🏾🍻

Day 5.... Betoota to Isisford was an interesting day...... Rosie's Broken exhaust was getting smaaaaashed from all the rocks cause it was hanging low and with a couple quick tyre changes in the group and a few beers in Stonehenge ( population 7 people 🤣) we rolled into camp fairly early. It's starting to get warm now with 37degrees at 8pm so we all braced for a sweaty nights sleep. 🥵🚗💨

Day 4 Innamincka to Bettota was carnage on the cars!!!! 4 blown tyres and Red Rosie lost her exhaust!!! Some biiiig rocks and on a positive note... Rosie sounds like a proper Rally Car now!!! 🚗💨🏁🤣🍻

Been off grid for a bit..... but day 3 Milparinka to Innamincka was super long and with some u conventional detours we didn't get into camp at Innamincka until midnight. When we rolled in we bumped into the OG Silver Fox Nigel Hocking and had a quick chat. So good to see ya legend!!! Spewing we counldnt get in earlier for a beer🍻🍻

Day 2 .... todays dress up theme was "ABC - "Anything But Clothes"...... The day started on the Tarmac with re-route again for the recent rains until 140kms after Broken Hill..... then the fun began on the dirt all the way into Milparinka where we all learnt a few beers!!!

Day 1 down..... bring on day 2!!! 🚗💨

Day 1 done and dusted... Was a cruisey day on the Tarmac... after all the rains, the Rally officials had to reroute for the unsealed section. Made it into Pooncarie after dodging goats and lizards on the roads. Had a great dinner set up by the locals and a few tins in the pub now everyone is camped up in the park under the stars.
