📣RAPTORS FAMILIES — IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 2026/2027!

New season. Clear expectations. Simple reporting pathways

This season we've refreshed our Club Code of Conduct and introduced some new tools to make sure everyone has a safe, respectful and fun experience at the Raptors. Here's what you need to know.

Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct applies to everyone — players, parents, supporters, coaches and volunteers. It's simple: treat others with respect, support fair play, keep kids' enjoyment front and centre, and raise any concerns through the right channels — not on the sideline or social media. By registering with the club, you're agreeing to follow the Code.

Game Day Officials (GDOs)
You'll see our GDOs around the diamonds on game days. They're there to keep things positive, step in if needed, and make sure everyone feels safe and welcome.

Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)
Our MPIO is Holli Swindail — your confidential first point of contact for any concerns about behaviour, bullying, harassment or safety. Holli will listen, explain your options, and make sure your concern is followed up. 📧 [email protected]

New Decision Trees
Not sure where to go with a concern?

We've created easy-to-follow decision trees for players, parents and supporters, coaches, officials, volunteers, and state team members.

The rule of thumb: if it's routine, chat to your Coach or Team Manager first. If it's serious, repeated, or you're not comfortable raising it — go straight to the MPIO.

Resources Available
Parent Handbook — your go-to guide for everything from registration and game days to what your child needs and how the season runs.
Coaching Guide — a practical reference for coaches covering player development, training sessions, game day management and safeguarding.
Team Manager Guide — everything team managers need to stay organised, communicate with families and support their team week to week.

For full details, check out the Codes of Conduct and resources on our website - https://rockinghamraptors.com.au/policies, or reach out to your Team Manager or Coach.

Let's make it a great season, Raptors!
