Yoga this week on Tuesday and Wednesday…

All about backbends.

We go through the fundamental principles and techniques of backbend and look at how it challenges our physical and emotional responses.

🔘Hatha Class on Tuesday 930am - we break down the poses and go deeper with each variation related to backbend.

🔘Mindful Flow on Wednesday 12pm - weave together variations of lunges, shoulder mobility and front body stretches to make backbend more accessible.

🔘Gentle Yoga on Thursday 930am - We pause longer in a yin-like theme.

‼️New class alert‼️

I am adding a brand new class called Mindful Flow every Wednesday at 12pm.

As opposed to my other Hatha (alignment base) and Gentle classes (Myofascial and Yin), in Mindful Vinyasa it is a time to move slowly, tune inward, and after proper instruction, students will be encouraged to move at your own pace and at times through the sequence without guidance, so that they can truly “feel” the movements connection.

I often find myself wanting to do a mid-day class and unfortunately none were available. Therefore with the new time slot, I hope to connect with more likeminded people.

Booking is available on the website up on my bio. Or message me. 💌

And…

It’s a wrap! 😊

Big shoutout to .body for hosting the Myofascia & Yin Yoga workshop and this concluded the two modules for Lower Body and Upper Body. Thanks for for working alongside behind the scene to get systems up and running.

Great work to all the 30 participants who were mostly first timer to MFR techniques; learnt, rolled, potentially agonized at some areas, released and relaxed.

The game changer in this workshop is to draw an awareness and experience for our brain and re-pattern the old habits that was causing us pain or discomfort. A great example was the neck exercises we did and how we can bring address the root cause that can have an lasting benefits.

If you are interested to bring this workshop to your corporate office or studio, I’ll be most happy to speak to you on the details. 🙏🏾

Grateful. Good night. 🌟💞

“Hi Ellen, I did the workshop yesterday afternoon. I found it really satisfying. I’ve been going for short runs whenever I get a chance, and I never stretch properly afterward , so I found that my leg muscles were very tight. It was very interesting that after rolling on a muscle group it was much more activated, I could isolate and squeeze the muscle, but it also felt more relaxed. “

Upcoming upperbody MRF workshop is the perfect antidote, interweaving Myofascial Release techniques and Yin Yoga to help you release tightness, hydrate the fascia tissues, improve tissue strength, improve circulation and enliven your sensory and motor ability.

Learn the techniques on how to use massage balls on various trigger points for our upper body - think shoulders, back, neck, chest.

When - 25 September, Saturday
Time - 430pm to 630pm
Book - kulabody.com .body
Bring - Balls (tennis ball or lacrosse balls), a sock, block and towel
You will be given notes 2 days prior to the workshop.

Hopeful that what is holding us back
now is Time and when Time comes, good things will come no matter what we do or not do.
