Guys have done a fantastic job and we are ready to roll on to the next.

We’ve got a big run of gates with leaves in excess of 6m each coming up.

It’s quite interesting when you look at the progression of scale on a post for a gate. Many rules of thumb applying along the way from a humble pool gate, through to some of our 15m+ monsters.

Some of the rules we and other fencers know loosely in our game. 1/3 the height in the ground, double the frame for the post size, quadruple the weight for the hinge, set it on the line for sag.. all of which have a place for a fence or gate company.

I wouldn’t have ever imagined we’d end up with 10mm thick 250’s on 20mm plate on 2m3 pad footings sitting on 4t hinges.
