The 2026 Salisbury Cycle Speedway Invitational day was a huge Success 🙌

The 20" Trevor Dutton Invitational was first up and would you believe its been running for 30 years! Taking out the top 3 placings were; Darcy Frencken 3rd, Chad Ricketts 2nd and Rylan Hartman 1st with an absolute faultless performance 👏

Next, we had the Rob Hurley over 40s Invitational. Some really close battles were had with lots of laughs and banter which is exactly what the great man would have loved to see.
The top 3 placings were 3rd Paul White, 2nd Daniel Pudney and in 1st on a max 20 points was Adam Haldenby 🎇

The Womens Open Invitational was the next event, this all came down to the wire with an awesome runoff for 1st & 2nd. After some very fierce battles coming home in 3rd was Holly Ffrench 2nd Stevie Ricketts and 1st Caitlin Knights. 🚀

The Brian Herd Invitational was the final event, with the line up getting better and better every year. The racing sure didn't disappoint. The sun was out and the heat was on with so many thrills and spills. There was a run off for the minor placing which was between Bobby McMillan and Blake Frencken, Bobby in fine form went all the way to the line for 3rd place. In 2nd was Braylan Macdonald. This lad shot out like a rocket and got points on the board early getting him into a good spot. In 1st place winning the event for the 10th time was our very own Cody Chadwick, consistency and good grid positions worked in his favour to get the job done ✔️ 👍

The Salisbury Cycle Speedway club would like to thank all the families in honour of the great event for coming down. Your presence means a great deal to us and its a privilege to come together to remember and celebrate the impact these members had on our club.

We would also like to thank the sponsors, the Referees and the great volunteers for all their work throughout the day.

A massive congratulations goes to all the riders that competed in the events 👏 we can't thank you enough for the entertainment and commitment ❤️

🏁 MIXED LEAGUE

We kicked things off with our Mixed League, where all riders put on a great show! In the end, it was the Bushrangers who came out on top, defeating the Titans with a final score of 81–72. Well done, Bushrangers! 💪

💙💛 CLUB LEAGUE – SALISBURY JETS vs LE FEVRE DOLPHINS 🐬

Next up was our Club League match, with the Salisbury Jets taking on the Le Fevre Dolphins, and what a match it was!

With plenty of exclusions, crashes and action-packed racing, both clubs gave it their all in what turned out to be a very close and exciting contest. In the end, the Salisbury Jets triumphed on their home track, securing a nail-biting 2-point victory over the Dolphins!

🏆 Final Score: Salisbury Jets 77 – 75 Le Fevre Dolphins

Congratulations to the Jets, and well done to both teams for putting on such a great show! 👏
