💜 Two of our Salt Ash crew getting involved today!

Zone 25 hosted the Jumping Equitation Judges & Pencillers practical day at Mount Sugarloaf Ponyclub, with Natalie S taking her assessment after attending the theory Zoom. Well done for putting yourself forward, Natalie.

Hannah N also answered the last-minute call to step in as a demonstration rider when another rider couldn’t attend. Thanks for stepping up, Hannah!

A big thank you to MtS for hosting and catering and everyone who helped make the day happen! Great to see people attending and making these things possible.

🐴💜 Pony of the Week! 💜🐴

Congratulations to our Salt Ash rider Jayla and her beautiful Sisco on being named Pony Club Australia’s Pony of the Week! 🥰

A lovely achievement and very well deserved. Congratulations Jayla & Sisco! 👏💜

⭐ This week’s is Sisco ⭐

Golden Sisco, known as “Sisco”, is a 14.2hh, 13-year-old Quarter Horse x Stock Horse mare from Salt Ash Pony Club, Pony Club NSW .

Jayla has had Sisco for around one year and seven months, and in that time the pair have built a very special partnership.

Sisco is a talented allrounder who enjoys dressage, jumping, sporting and trail rides. She is elementary trained in dressage, loves learning new skills and is always ready to show what she can do.

At the Salt Ash Pony Club Dressage Championships, Jayla and Sisco came home as Champion Novice, scoring 80% in the 2.3 test. At the Singleton Pony Club Championship, their first championship together, they finished second runner-up.

Sisco can be slow when she wants to be, but when she is ready, she loves to go fast.

“Whenever Sisco and I go out to a comp she knows it’s not the time to mess up and she tries her little heart out to make me happy.”

At home, Sisco is the queen of the barn, often showing off her moves and reminding everyone just how talented she is.

For Jayla, Sisco has been much more than a competition pony.

“Sisco has taught me so much and helped me gain lots of my confidence back and has always been there when I need her. She isn’t just my pony who does stuff for me but she is my best friend who I never thought I needed.”

Sisco has a big personality and a big fan club to match. Jayla says anyone who meets her instantly falls in love and wants to give her a pat or a hug — which Sisco enjoys even more if it comes with a treat.

“Sisco enjoys this lots because normally when they come to pat or hug her it ends up with her getting a treat and she absolutely loves food.”

Jayla and Sisco have been part of Pony Club for two years and are looking forward to continuing their journey together at Salt Ash Pony Club.

Sisco is the kind of pony who gives her rider her all, shows off her talent and makes every outing special.

As Jayla says before she competes or does anything with Sisco:

“It’s not about the ribbons or the score it’s about how much fun I had doing it and that I went into the ring with the horse I love.”

Huge thanks to Singleton Pony Club for another awesome, relaxed day — plenty of sporting, plenty of fun and even finished with time left for Father’s Day dinner 😂🙌

Today we’re wishing a very happy birthday to Sarah N!

Sarah serves on our Executive Committee as one of our Club Secretaries alongside Jen, and she also helps coordinate our canteen. These are two incredibly important roles that help keep Salt Ash Pony Club running as smoothly as it does.

Thank you for everything you do behind the scenes for our club, our members and our families. We hope you have a fantastic birthday! 🎂🥳

A reminder for our Salt Ash riders who submitted an EOI for the Zone 25 Camp at Paterson River Pony Club.

If you submitted an EOI but haven’t completed your actual registration, please make sure you get onto it.

Your EOI doesn’t replace the event registration.

If you’re planning to attend, make sure everything is completed so you don’t miss out. ✅

It should be a fantastic opportunity for riders to spend some time with their ponies and riders from across 25.

🏆 2026 END-OF-YEAR AWARD NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN! 🏆

As we approach the end of another Pony Club year, we’re asking our members and families to nominate the riders and volunteers they believe deserve recognition through our 2026 perpetual awards.

These awards recognise more than competition results—they celebrate improvement, perseverance, horsemanship, sportsmanship, achievement, encouragement and the people who embody the true spirit of Salt Ash Pony Club.

You do not need to nominate someone for every award. You can complete one category, several or all of them. Where possible, please include a short explanation or example supporting your nomination, as this will help the Executive Committee when considering the awards.

Responses will be treated confidentially and reviewed only by the Salt Ash Pony Club Executive Committee.
