Congratulations to Simone Case for winning the Victorian Senior Amateur held at Barwon Heads GC and 13th Beach GC earlier this week.

Simone led the event after a great result on the first day at Barwon Heads, then hung onto the lead through day two on the Creek Course at 13th Beach.

With incredibly tough playing conditions on two of the three days Simone was able to battle it out on the Beach Course on day three to take out this prestigious Senior Amateur event.

As part of Thank a Superintendent Day, we'd like to recognise and thank Nico Douglas and his team from Programmed Turnpoint for the incredible work they do at Sandhurst Club. ⛳

From maintaining our courses year-round to the greens renovations currently underway, their hard work and commitment make a real difference in ensuring the courses are in the best possible condition for members to enjoy.

A world-first milestone for inclusive golf is coming to Australia.

Sandhurst Club is proud to host the inaugural Australian All Abilities Open (AAAO), taking place on our North Course in Melbourne from 11–13 November 2026.

Announced by Golf Australia and the International Golf Federation (IGF), the 54-hole championship will feature 64 athletes competing across all eight IGF sport classes for Men’s and Women’s Open titles and combined sport class honours.

The AAAO will be the first elite-level golf event for athletes with a disability held under the new IGF Classification Rules, developed in alignment with the International Paralympic Committee’s 2025 Classification Code. It marks an important step in creating international classification opportunities and building golf’s pathway towards potential Paralympic inclusion.
