Kids don’t need to have any sailing experience or Club membership to participate.

Tackers is a fun, introductory, games-based sailing program designed for kids aged 7-12 years, delivered at recognised Tackers Clubs. Life jackets and boats are provided.

Parents of all Junior Sailors are invited to join us at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania for a pre-season get together. Leave the kids at home, meet likeminded sailing parents and enjoy a night out on the waterfront!

With the generous sponsorship of Miena Village, the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania invites sailors in ILCA, Optimist, International Cadet, Flying 11, 29er and Sabot to a weekend training camp held at the RYCT OTB.

Endorsed by the Tas ILCA, the TIODA - Tasmanian International Optimist Dinghy Association and the Tasmanian Sabot Sailing Association, the camps are held at the beginning of the sailing season and are designed to set the scene for subsequent training and racing.

With Miena Village's generous sponsorship we are offering the camp at $200 to RYCT members and at $255 cost to all other sailors.
