G'day Legends not long now for our Annual Flathead Classic Event in conjunction with Caboolture River Fishing and Boating Club who have kindly invited us back for another year. RKC Admin teem Welcomes everyone to come along for a Fantastic weekend or just come say Hi at the Camp HQ, there's always someone at main Gazebo just look for the RKC Banner We would also like to Humbly acknowledge our Sponsors and and Core members that donated too this year's Event Sharp point jigheads Flatty Finger " Danny Hardke Matthew Farquaad Heinrich Son Nguyen Thomas Green myself and anyone that I mistakenly forgot 😀 This year we are going to mix up some Categories which we we think that will excite everyone for a more challenging Prize. With Great anticipation we are adding a Random mixed doubles drawn out of a hat for a new exciting experience. 😀 Don't forget we have a Great prize pool this year...... early Monday morning catch up at Ninghi Creek with Gobblers Lures (Wayne Palmer)AnnePaul Limmer (Paul Limmer fishing)and Bob Eddy(Jam Donut Adventures). There was hardly a breath of air when we first arrived except it was bloody freezing cold lol, everyone seemed to go there own way at first to their secert spots with no luck and only getting a few rattlers. However we all seem to congregate in this on spot that really went off. The wind started to pick up and the passes over this spot was hard, in about 1 hour and a half the Flathead turned it on.1st pass was a 52cm 2nd pass was a 46 on the 3rd pass something picked up my UV Croc Bait Curly tail on my Ultra Light rod and headed to Bribie Island 🤣 after a long tug of war i finally got beside the yakto see this huge Flathead only to see it give 1 big dive to the bottom busting me off, well with a few loud choice words I noticed the yak was feeling sluggish. Lifting the hatch up I noticed im taking on water ????? By that time the wind was blowing us off the water and in the distance I could here a few YAHOO'S telling me the boys were on a few. All in all it was a Fantastic morning and looking forward to seeing some more yaks on the water next time Hook In Kayaking Adventures

G'day Legends this year's "Flathead Classic" Christmas in July Event with Caboolture River Fishing and Boating Club is in the weekend of the 24th of July. For any new members this is 1 of RKC Annual Event. Early birds members can setup camp at the powered site on Friday the 24th. Unfortunately we don't have Gobblers Lures donating this year but there will be Prizes to be won and just maybe a Trophy for the Biggest Flathead. $10 site fee as usual and on Saturday night will be an AWESOME 3 corse meal 😋 for $10 put on by the Caboolture River Fishing and Boating Club and a Bon Fire 🔥 afterwards.

Had a nice trip too Caboolture River with a couple of mates Paul and Bob Eddy. While they were kayaking i chose to try out the new "Oz Propeller" Hydrofoil. I was very surprised 😮 how quickly the 25hp Yammy jump up on the plan and with a bit of trim N tilt had the hull planning very nicely, Heading straight for the Flathead Nursery didn't disappoint with a few landed in quick succession, Using the 65lb Watersnake was very useful with the spotlock. With a few Bream on board and the wind picking up it was time to call it a day, The test run on both the Hydrofoil and the Watersnake motor was a total success 🙌

G'day folks, looking forward too the May Day Long Weekend. Heading over too Mission Point Bribie Island 🏕 To Camp Out and spend some Great Adventures with my Kayaking family. I'll be heading over on Thursday 30th and home on the 4th so it's going to be a full blown Camping trip. This will well and truly iron out any bugs 🐛 in the New Tinnie. Hook 🪝 In 🐟
