It's that your body may not feel safe in the pause
Somewhere along the way, you learnt that slowing down meant falling behind, that resting wasn't productive and that your worth was connected to how much you do
So even when your body is asking you to slow down, the pause feels uncomfortable
The restlessness, the guilt, the urge to keep doing
And I get it 🤍
As a single mum, there's always something needing my attention
I've had to intentionally teach my body that it's safe to slow down, rest and receive
There is so much power in the pause
It's where we create space to respond rather than react, to hear what our body actually needs, to gain clarity instead of constantly figuring everything out and reliving the same habits and patterns in autopilot
And pauses don't have to be big
Noticing the sunlight on the floor, feeling your feet on the ground or taking a conscious breath in the middle of the doing
These small moments matter
This is what my Nervous System Toolkit is all about
Building a relationship with your body, creating safety in slowing down and learning to honour what you need without guilt
Because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop doing 🤍
Comment TOOLKIT below and I'll send you the details 🤍🪶
