Here at Hillview we cater for all your equestrian needs. We can provide agistment starting from spelling through to full board and training.

Equine excellence - 5* facilities - 5* care - TB spelling and breeding - artificial breeding - rehabilitation - out patient cases - full care agistment - equine management and consultations We have training areas suitable for all disciplines including a huge 60 x 30 sand arena, 20m diameter sand round yard, and a large open paddock to ride out in. We also provide rehabilitation services for injured or recovering horses, foaling services as well as breeding, in conjunction with our veterinary team. We also offer services such as clipping and show prep. “I was pretty close to selling my off the track thoroughbred, but with Vic’s encouragement and belief in where we can go, it has really helped” - Milly McEvoy, student 🩷

Hear from Milly, another student of Vic’s here at Hillview. She explains how she feels that Vic has helped her “get back on track and in a better mindset,” as she continues to train her off the track thoroughbred. Milly is only new the area but has been training with us here at Hillview for a few months now. We love welcoming new students to the area and to Hillview, especially those who are just needing that extra push to get back on track with their riding, like Milly!

Join us in this video to see some behind the scenes at a competition with .tho commentary, VLOG, and laughs. We have a bit of a deal that if I make a rider error I shout ice cream on the way home. Apparently those stakes weren’t high enough for my brain to kick in (bearing in mind I foaled down the night prior to competing!) so we upped the stakes and now it’s shouting Rosie clothing pieces for each error. Safe to say my brain was on point after that 😆😆

Big post ahead… because it’s breeding season and we do not have time for multiple posts 🤪
Well! What a crazy few days. Thank goodness for Rosie Thomas Sarah Bates and the team behind the scenes at Hillview.
I ducked down to Hunter Valley Dressage Association on the weekend, after foaling down our first foal of the season at 1am Sunday morning. So naturally, no sleep was had for me Saturday night before competing Sunday.

HVE GOLDEN BRIAR 💛🍯
Was exceptional. This beautiful girl tried her heart out and has made so much progress in the last few weeks. She scored 68.7% in her official novice tests and there is so much room to hit those high 70s by the end of the season. 💪🏼🤭
Goldie has a hot date booked in for her in October and we hopefully will get a successful embryo transfer with her this season 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

CHEVALLEY PARK COLLETTE🤎✨
Letty is miss consistent, she was even better and stronger than the weekend prior. Scoring 70% again in her preliminary tests. I’m looking forwards to building her strength and power, her lateral movements and taking her novice before the end of the year.

Both mares placed in both tests, and brought home reserve champion for their respective levels in the open classes. 🎉🎉🎉

We returned home, unpacked, and tended to our newborn foal and mare. Little Wh**ky girl didn’t pass her IGGs which means we immediately administered the liquid gold plasma. We’re so on top of the health of mares and foals here and we’re set up to do things as fast as a hospital environment thanks to Dr Sarah Gough from Equine Medicine Consulting.

Now all eyes are set on the remainder of the years competitions, the mares have a week off before spending a few weeks building strength and doing some homework, a quick trip to equimillions to support students, and many mares to foal, and a lot of reproductive work to be done!

4 x clients pregnant chestnut mares enjoying their luscious paddock and life at Hillview. There’s 3 thoroughbreds carrying future champions on board by Kings Gambit, Profiteer, and Switzerland, and Views Equestrian Lulu carrying a Deo Futura Deo Concur baby. We’re patiently awaiting the first foal of the season here, it seems all the mares want to keep cooking a little longer this season.

CHEVALLEY PARK COLLETTE 🤎✨

This super star little mare just keeps getting better and better. It was our second competition together at the UHDA T - Shirt day, which proved a great check in competition to make sure we’re getting stronger and more strength behind to be more uphill and powerful. Letty scored 68% and 72% in her two Prelim tests.

Her next outing will be at HVDA this coming weekend where we hope to bring home the goods 💪🏼

This little mare is relatively green, this is her first full year out competing with only a few outings last year, she is only 6 and has a very exciting future ahead of her. She is equally good cross country, show jumping, and really anything you take her to she excels at.

Maybe… there should be a Letty baby on the horizon ?! 🤭🤫 (ET of course)

It’s an absolute pleasure to ride this mare and her owners really are the DREAM owners.

HVE Golden Briar today at UHDA T Shirt day. This was a fantastic low key competition to check how the last few weeks of training has been going with Goldie. She is feeling a lot stronger, more willing, and has more lateral movement and confidence in what she’s being asked to do. Her scores were 68% and 69% in the Novice 2.2 and 2.3. I’m working towards hitting those 72-75% scores by the end of the year in the Novice for her. She is only 4 so she is doing remarkably well.

Looking forward to the week ahead and HVDA champs on the next weekend. I’ll try and squeeze one more outing into September and then we may disappear for two months whilst we focus on breeding and foaling work!

As always where would we be without Rosie Thomas who literally just handles everything, I swear this gal is the best in the business. Hands down must just read my brain. Only Rosie can make 7 tests, 4 horses, a 3yo toddler and mum brain feel easy. Genuinely I couldn’t do this without her 🩷🎉🥰

And you bet these piccies were taken by the one and only KJD Media.. Hopefully one day Kate gets to photograph Goldie in a big fancy FEI event 🤞🏻🥹

“If it weren’t for Vic, I probably would have given up by now!” - Louisa Ernst, long-term agistee and student ❤️

This week’s focus is on Lou! She has been with us now at Hillview Equine for over two years. Her and her two off the track thoroughbreds Mac and Val have become like family! Lou recently made a fresh commitment back to riding after having two kids and it’s been our absolute pleasure to accommodate her and help her reach her goals.

Both her beautiful geldings live with us full-time and receive 5* treatment 24/7. Lou also utilises Vic for schooling to keep her horses in work when she is a little short on time. What a privilege it is to be trusted by Angela to pilot her incredible little mare around. She scored 68% - 72% in the OC Prelim tests.

I’d be lying if I said Letty wasn’t one of my favourite horses in the world ever. She is a true gemstone 💎.

It’s been a pleasure to support Angela and Letty in their journey together so far, and I can’t wait to see what they achieve together in the future, and when ever I can be the pilot I will thoroughly enjoy it and try and do Angela and Ryan, and the team behind it all proud.

Letty is a purebred heritage stock horse, but she holds her own against the flash warm bloods!
