Tips to stay motivated in the winter! โ๏ธ Consistency is key so with a few more cold morning ahead here's a few tips to help you get going and stay on track to hit your goals!
1) Plan - Make a plan for the week and schedule in what you're doing on what day. It will make your life easier when it comes to training and help you stay on track to reach your goals
2) Prepare - Preparing is key so think ahead and get your clothes, gear and food ready the night before, Less excuses and less thinking when your alarm goes off ๐๐ผ
3) Train indoors - Training inside is a lot more appealing at this time of year! So either head to the gym or train at home, trust me there is a lot you can do with little to no equipment ๐๐ช๐ผ
4) Train with a friend - Having someone that is going to train with you will reduce the chances of you bailing last minute.
5) Get a Personal Trainer - Having a trainer come to you with a program designed around you and your goals will make training fun and help you get on track to hit your goals and have you feeling great! ๐ช๐ผ

Consistency beats intensity! ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ผ
When it comes to achieving your goals consistency is key!
You donโt always have to go all out at 100% intensity! Weโre only human and some days you just donโt feel like it or lack energy. Instead of doing nothing at all and turning back to old ways just do something, whether itโs a 5 min walk or light movement ๐ anything is better than nothing! It will help you keep on track, maintain healthy habits and youโll feel better for it ๐
Just keep moving ๐ช๐ผโจ

With Melbourne tipping over 200 days in lockdown and NZโs recent lockdown being extended I thought I would share a couple of tips that have helped me survive and keep motivated during lockdown๐ I have had my fair share of down days and this is what has worked for me to help come out of those negative thoughts ๐ฅฐ
1. Exercise! Exercise and movement is one of the BEST ways to boost your mood and get that well needed energy kick during lockdown!
2. Have a routine to help keep structure in your day
3. Sleep ๐ด sleep is so important for recovery both mentally and physically! Help out your body and keep your sleep schedule!
4. Creating a to-do list to get a feeling of accomplishment & being organised
5. Water ๐ง always important
6. Also remember itโs all good to feel down and not as motivated during lockdown and youโre not alone in feeling like that! โค๏ธ
I also have to give a shout out to Tigz and Tabz for all the much needed lockdown cuddles ๐ฅฐ
Happy Friday and have a great weekend! Keep moving and keep safe ๐

Hereโs a couple of things you can do to help improve recovery and help your body:
1. Drink water
2. Sleep
3. Foam roll
4. Nutrition

Soon enough this will be fully up and running and not just a holding page! Sit tight, the countdown is on!! ๐
