Downhill lie at the back of the bunker, short flag. Most of us are just happy to get it out, but Ben reckons you can still stop it.

Shoulders with the slope, weight left, hit an inch or two behind and follow the slope through. Simple as that.

Dinner is on at the club this Saturday night!! 🍔🍴

Gourmet Greens is keeping the kitchen open until 8pm with a limited menu. It’s the first time we’ve tried a Saturday night, so we’d love to see a full room. If you’re out on course for the Championships, stay for a drink and grab dinner afterwards. It’s a great chance to bring the family up and make a night of it.

Gourmet Greens at Wakehurst ⛳️

From early barista coffee to breakfast and lunch with a view, plus a Friday night menu worth staying for. Open 7 days.

👉🏽 This Saturday the kitchen is staying open until 8pm for the first time. It’s a one-off trial with a limited menu, so come and help us fill the room. We also recommend booking ahead for Friday 30 October, the first night of our Oktoberfest weekend.

You don’t need to be a member to eat here. Everyone’s welcome, so bring the family and grab a table 🥗🍽️

What's On this week at Wakehurst! 🗓️

Saturday night the café is staying open late for the first time. Gourmet Greens will have a limited menu on until 8pm, so if you’ve been looking for an excuse to have Saturday dinner at the club, this is it. It’s a one-off trial and we’d love to see a full room, so we recommend booking a table.

⛳️ Thursday is Visitors Day, so bring family and friends up for a hit. It’s also the Women’s Singles Knockout Final, so come along and cheer them on.
⛳️ On Saturday the Junior Championships tee off alongside Round 3 of the Club Championships.

☕️ In the clubhouse, Mahjong is on Monday, and Backgammon and Bridge are on Thursday. Friday is Happy Hour from 4:30pm, dinner with Gourmet Greens from 5:30pm and the Betts Butchery Meat Tray Raffle at 5:30pm.
🍻 Looking ahead, Oktoberfest weekend runs 30 October to 1 November. Friday night will be busy, so book early!! Bookings are also open for Twilight Golf on Friday 13 November. The link is in our bio.

A fair one, and after the 16th you'll take that. 385 off the men's, 350 off the ladies, with trees framing both sides of the fairway.

No hidden tricks here, it just asks you to put it in the right spot. The best angle in is from the right half of the fairway, so that's the side worth favouring off the tee.

One bunker sits right of the green and there's a tier at the back that makes a back pin a lot harder than it looks. Front flag, take it on. Back flag, the middle of the green is a good friend.

Straightforward on paper. Still needs two good ones ⛳

Melbourne Cup - Tuesday 3 November 🐎🥂

Celebrate Melbourne Cup at Wakehurst! The day is open to all members and visitors, whether you’re joining us for golf and lunch or lunch only.

• Golf and buffet lunch: $100 per person
• Buffet lunch only: $80 per person
• Golf: 7:45am sh***un start
• Format: Team shamble, with a maximum of two men per team
• Visitors playing golf: A GA handicap is required
• Golf carts: Please book directly with the Pro Shop
• On the day: Sweeps, plus prizes for best dressed and best hat

🍽️ Melbourne Cup buffet
• Beef fillet with a selection of mustards
• Chicken fillets with toum
• Tiger prawns with cocktail sauce
• Ricotta, feta, spinach, mint, and dill frittata
• Green bean salad with slivered almonds

Ben's tip (passed down from Greg Norman) 👉🏽 hands low, face open, and swing steep and down. The sand goes down, the ball goes up and it stops.

Ask a member what they love about Wakehurst and you'll hear the same two words. Beautiful. Peaceful.

It's the view from the clubhouse that gets people first, that quiet green stretch with the bush wrapped around it. Then it's everything else. A seat in the sun after a round, a long lunch that turns into an afternoon, the kids running around while you catch up with friends.

There's always something on, whether you're here for the golf, the social side or just a good spot to bring the family. That's what being a member here actually looks like.

Beautiful and peaceful, with plenty going on. Everyone's welcome at Wakehurst.
