In support of STEPtember 💙
There’s more than one way to make an impact.
Walk, run, ride, stretch—or choose from over 40 activities available through the STEPtember app or at steptember.org.au.
Funds raised help support early detection and therapy for babies with cerebral palsy during their critical first 1,000 days—creating more opportunities for first steps, first words and a future full of possibility.
However you choose to move, make it count.

Sharing is caring… apparently, that includes stress too. 😂
Jokes aside, a little movement, balanced nutrition and a good laugh can help make Wednesday feel lighter. 💚

Asthma isn’t one-size-fits-all—especially across a woman’s life.
Around 1 in 5 Australian women lives with asthma, and women are twice as likely to die from it as men. Hormonal changes during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause may affect symptoms and asthma control.
If your breathing patterns or symptoms change, speak with your doctor and review your Asthma Action Plan. The right medical care—supported by appropriate movement, nutrition and emotional wellbeing—can help you manage your overall health with greater confidence.
This Asthma Week, let’s start more conversations, build greater awareness and support better asthma health. 💙

Exercise can’t do all the work alone.
Your food choices, portions and overall eating patterns can also influence weight management. Sustainable progress comes from movement and balanced nutrition working together. 💪🥗

I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing.
When your mind feels overwhelmed, even everyday tasks—like tidying the house, answering messages or getting through your routine—can feel difficult to manage.
Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. It may appear as irritability, exhaustion, withdrawal, difficulty concentrating, changes in sleep or appetite, or losing interest in things you once enjoyed.
These signs do not automatically mean someone has depression, but if they persist or interfere with daily life, speaking with a GP or psychologist may help.
You don’t have to manage everything at once. You deserve support—and help is available when you’re ready.

Did you know your brain may respond to exercise after just one session? ðŸ§
A single session of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity may help reduce short-term anxiety symptoms and improve sleep. With regular activity, the benefits can build—supporting mood, concentration and overall wellbeing.
When you move, your brain releases chemicals such as endorphins and serotonin, which are associated with improved mood.
And physical activity doesn’t only mean going to the gym. Walking, cycling, dancing, gardening and active household tasks all count. The best place to begin is with movement that is safe, manageable and realistic for you.
Exercise isn’t a cure or a replacement for professional mental health care—but it can be a valuable part of a broader mental-health support plan.

Sometimes, progress begins with understanding what sits beneath the difficulty. ðŸ§
Psychometric testing uses carefully selected, standardised tools to explore areas such as cognitive abilities, learning, memory, behaviour and everyday functioning—depending on the purpose of the assessment.
It can help:
✓ Identify individual strengths and areas of difficulty
✓ Clarify learning or developmental concerns
✓ Inform practical recommendations
✓ Guide more personalised support at home, school or in clinical care
Psychometric testing is not a pass-or-fail exam or a diagnosis on its own. A psychologist interprets the results alongside relevant history, interviews, observations and individual circumstances to develop a more complete picture.
