2027 RE-SIGNING 🔏

Ruby Martin will be pulling on the blue, red and gold again in 2027! 🦁

A tall and versatile presence on court, Ruby gives us the flexibility to play an important role at either end of the floor.

She spent much of 2026 at Goal Shooter, providing a strong target in the circle and putting together an excellent season that saw her finish fourth in the A Grade Best & Fairest.

Ruby’s versatility is a huge asset to our A Grade side and we’re excited to see her continue to build on a strong 2026 campaign next season.

Bring on 2027, Ruby!

2027 RE-SIGNING 🔏

The rise of Toni Bootland continues, with our athletic goal keeper recommitting to the Lions for 2027! 🦁

Toni’s progression over the past few seasons has been incredible. After starting out in B Reserve and quickly establishing herself as a dominant player, she stepped up to B Grade in 2025 and took out the GVL B Grade League Medal.

This season brought another step up into A Grade – and another outstanding year. Toni quickly established herself at the level and capped off her first A Grade season with a third-place finish in the Club Best & Fairest.

Athletic, competitive and incredibly difficult to play against, Toni has developed into a key part of our defensive end – and there is still plenty more to come.

We’re thrilled to see Toni’s journey with the Lions continue in 2027!
