Shelley parkrun Shelley parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 8am ev The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Shelley parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful foreshore and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

What a great morning at Shelley parkrun! We welcomed 230 parkrunners for event #496 on the first weekend of the school holidays. It was a little windy out there, but that didn’t stop everyone from getting around the course! We celebrated 20 PBs, welcomed 21 first timers, and had plenty of milestones to cheer on. A huge congratulations to all our milestone achievers, first-time parkrunners and everyone who set a new personal best. And, as always, a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers who made the event possible. What a way to kick off the school holidays!

Shelley parkrun #495

What a morning! It was a tough one out there today, with plenty of wind but, just like the Fremantle Dockers last night, there was one thing you could count on...no one gave up! 💜⚓

A huge well done to everyone who came along, battled the conditions and got themselves across the finish line.

A very warm welcome to our 7 first timers! We hope you enjoyed your first Shelley parkrun and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

And finally, a little reminder from the volunteer team…We need volunteers over the next few weeks! Parkrun simply can't happen without our amazing volunteers. If you've been thinking about giving it a go, now is a great time to jump in. There are plenty of different roles available, and you'll be made very welcome.

Thanks everyone for another great Shelley parkrun. See you next Saturday!
