Shepparton parkrun

It was a wet morning yesterday and we endured a pretty tough weather (if you were still out there at 8:30) but what a great day for a run and a bonus shower.... just needed to bring the soap! We had a massive 20 people volunteer yesterday and 115 people benefitting from our volunteers giving their time. 6 people managed a PB in that weather (my guess is trying to get out of the rain as fast as possible ;) ) well done to you all, its always tough when the weather isn't favourable. We had Pods (200), Chris (250), Peter (400) and Jordan (150) all celebrating milestones (congrats to you guys too!) Special mention to Sarah who ran with us but also completed her 150 volunteer at Breen Ave parkrun today as well. Finally we had 7 first timers today at Shepparton, and 4 of those did there very first parkrun today. Welcome to parkrun superstars!

We are at the end of another week...and that means..... tomorrow is parkrun day!!!! We are right to go and are looking forward to seeing you at the Lake for your walk run or jog around the lake. Don't let the weather scare you off, its ok to run in a raincoat! see you there at 7:45 for the first timers welcome, and 7:55 for the main briefing. See you there!

Evening superstars.... we are after a few volunteers for tomorrows parkrun, tail walker is optional as we already have one person doing that, but all others on the roster here available.

What a ripper morning with 218 people getting out for a few laps around the lake..... lots of new parkrunners today and we love to see new people come along and join us. Today we had 33 people run a PB, lots of our youngsters featuring in the PB list as well (woohoo!!) and we had 17 people new to Shepparton, of whom 11 were new to parkrun itself (welcome superstars!!!). One of our first timers Xavier, has actually attended many parkruns in the past and was actually at the first ever Shepparton parkrun in a pram.... today was his first "official" parkrun. Our Super marshal, Warran, who you will see at "Rabbits corner" completed his 25th Volunteer, while Boston, Ollie, Max and Usara all ran their 10th parkruns this morning. A big day in the scheme of all things parkrun..... See you next week! #
