Another huge weekend of GVL finals is in the books, and it's time to pick through everything that unfolded across the first and second semi-finals. 🏉🏐

🎧 Jack Brophy and I put the spotlight on the league's under-age competitions.

We dissect the weekend's 17&U netball, 15&U netball and Under 18 football results and look at:

If you want an indication of just how evenly matched these two teams are, rewind to Round 18.
The result?
37-ALL. 🤯
After four quarters, absolutely nothing separated the Murray Bombers and Cats.
Now they meet again with a place in the 2026 A Grade Grand Final on the line.
No draw this time. Someone has to advance. Someone’s season has to end. 😬
And there are some equally intriguing contests across the other grades.

Euroa gets a second shot at Grand Final glory after falling to the Bears in the Second Semi Final.

Well… perhaps not quite.

But Echuca now has THREE football teams through to the GVL Grand Final at Deakin Reserve on Sunday, September 20 after completing a clean sweep of today’s Second Semi Finals. 🔥🏉

And they’ll have two weeks to prepare for the biggest day of the season.
The question is…
👀 WHO WILL THEY PLAY?

Next Sunday’s Preliminary Finals will decide it, and there’s a very real possibility we could end up with the same two clubs battling for the premiership in all three football grades.

If the Bears can complete a Preliminary Final clean sweep next Sunday, September 13, we’ll have:

Three grades. Two clubs. One enormous Grand Final day. 🤯🏆
