Last week, Megan and Sharna headed along to the Mitchell Shire Council Sports Forum, joining local sporting clubs, stakeholders, State Sporting Associations and Council representatives to connect, share ideas and talk all things community sport.
A highlight of the evening was hearing from Professor Rochelle Eime, who shared valuable insights into sport participation, what keeps people involved and how we can create positive experiences that encourage people to stay active and connected through sport.
We also heard updates from Mitchell Shire Council covering:
πΉ Population growth across the Shire
πΉ Club tenancy arrangements
πΉ Club and volunteer training opportunities
πΉ Future facility development
πΉ High Performance Partnership
πΉ Fair Access Policy
It was also a great opportunity to catch up with clubs, share experiences and connect with others working to strengthen sport and recreation across Mitchell Shire.
π A big congratulations to Mitchell Shire Council on a fantastic event. It was great to see so many people in the room passionate about supporting strong, welcoming and sustainable community sport!

Helping Young People Thrive in Sport
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our two online workshops with registered sports psychologist Joel Curtis from Endeavour Wellness !
We had a fantastic turnout across both sessions, with coaches, parents and caregivers joining us to explore practical ways to better support young people throughout their sporting journey.
From building confidence and resilience to managing pressure, expectations and setbacks, Joel shared plenty of valuable insights and practical strategies that can make a real difference both on and off the field.
π Thank you to Joel for sharing his expertise, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to two great sessions!
