“Will my preschooler have enough energy for dance when they start school?” 🎒✨

Beginning school is a big change. New routines, a classroom and a full day of learning can leave little ones tired as they adjust.

That doesn’t mean you need to give up dance straight away. Ready Set Dance is already a familiar part of your child’s week, and Mini Dance Stars gives them the chance to keep enjoying music, movement and friends as they begin school.

Allow time to rest at home, keep expectations gentle and take the transition one week at a time. Your child may be ready to enjoy both school and dance.

At Steps 2 Stardom, we’re here to support your preschooler as they move from Ready Set Dance into Mini Dance Stars.

At Steps 2 Stardom, dance is about more than learning steps and performing on stage.

Along the way, children build confidence, creativity, resilience, listening skills and friendships. They learn to work as a team, keep trying when something feels tricky and celebrate their progress.

As they grow, some may dance for many years. Others may move on to different interests and paths. Every child’s journey is their own, and every one of them matters.

👑✨ Meet our Ready Set Royalty star, Sofia! ✨👑

Our Ready Set Royalty are our dedicated little dancers who participate in all three Ready Set classes every week — Ready Set Dance, Ready Set Ballet and Ready Set Acro. Being part of the full Ready Set program gives our students the chance to enjoy a wonderful mix of dance, ballet and acro while building confidence, coordination, friendships and a love of performing.

Beautiful Sofia is 5 years old, and her favourite Ready Set class is Ready Set Dance. Her favourite thing about coming to class is getting to dance with her friends, and Ready Set Dance makes her feel happy. Her favourite Ready Set character is Twirl, and when she grows up, she would love to be a horse rider. 🐴💖

We are so excited to celebrate Sofia as part of our 2026 Ready Set Royalty and love seeing her confidence, personality and joy for dance shine each week! 🌟👑
