Big shout out to Somerton B.C. ladies who turned up for the ladies pennant teams first official training session this morning. 16 ladies present which included 3 new members to the team, Cath, Linda and Christine, welcome ladies. Thanks to our greenkeeper Steven Dennis for having the greens available for the ladies. Enjoy the season ahead ladies, look forward to working with you all again.

A BIG milestone birthday today for the hardest working and most appreciated volunteer at Somerton Bowling Club. Wishing Martin Ancone a very happy 80th birthday from the board and members of Somerton B.C.

Great few days away for 5 Somerton BC members who played in the South Australian Police Bowls Club championships at Wallaroo B.C. A friendly game against Wallaroo B.C. was held on Friday. On Saturday the championships started with the fours followed by the singles on Sunday and then the pairs on Monday. Fortunately Somerton had one winning member, Heather Davies who played as a third in the winning fours rink.

Big shout out to Somerton B.C. member Megan Carey playing in the Tweed Heads Junior Golden Nugget singles event this weekend...best of luck Megan
