Pickleball is a paddle sport played using a perforated, plastic ball over a tennis-type net on a badminton-sized court.
The game can be played in singles or doubles format. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn!

We’ve been playing Pickleball here at the Bunbury & Districts Badminton Assoc for 3 years and it’s a fantastic group of fun-loving folk led by our President, Nathan. Come and join us😃
So yesterday we we were lucky enough to hold a fundraiser at Bunnings in Bunbury. Wow what a success it has been to put it all together at short notice and what an amazing crew we have to respond as they have. We worked hard for our money 🎶 but many hands did make light work!!
It was a superb day of bonding, team work and fun, serving up snaggers and drinks, but also promoting our sport!!! 😊
Big heartfelt thanks to:
- Eric who was pivotal in getting this happening in the first place. He took the lead in organising and collecting everything!! Ensuring everything was in order and ready to go!
- Ray D who stayed for a longer shift, supported with the money count and dropped things off with his Ute afterwards.
- Emila supported with preparing onions and grocery shopping, and multiple runs to grab items on the day.
- Maria and Gail also did some running around for us today!!
- Suz for bringing in your esky (you’ll get it back don’t stress haha)
- Andrew and Gail for staying longer tonight and helping with the almighty clean up!!
- And ofc, everyone who contributed by being there and playing your bit in the team today - Eric, Pam, Suz, Em, Kerry, Zac, Eliot, Lorell, Maria, Steve, Bob, Mick, Ray F, Ray D, Gail and Andrew!!!
I hope I haven’t missed anyone 🤔 Oh and of course Christine!
The mammoth team effort so close to Xmas and at short notice, is a demonstration of how beautiful, committed and willing our PB community is 💕
