We’re heading into the final stretch of the season, but there’s still plenty of golf and a couple of massive weekends ahead!

🏉 Saturday 26 September – AFL Grand Final Day
9am Shotgun Start – Ambrose 4s
Get your round in early, then settle in at the club to watch the Grand Final!

⛳ Saturday 3 October – Stableford
🏉 Sunday 4 October – NRL Grand Final Day
11am Shotgun Start – Ambrose 2s, followed by BBQ, celebrations and the footy from 4:30pm!

⛳ Saturday 10 October – Herbert Ambrose 2s
⛳ Saturday 17 October – The Throrby Special
⛳ Saturday 24 October – Stableford

🎉 Saturday 31 October – END OF YEAR AMBROSE 4s & PRESENTATION NIGHT!
Captains vs President might not quite work this year, so we’re changing things up! Come down for Ambrose 4s, celebrate another fantastic season at PHGC and stick around for our Presentation Night & Awards.

🏆 PORT HEDLAND GOLF CLUB – 2026 MATCH PLAY 🏆

After some fantastic match play throughout the competition, the 2026 Port Hedland Golf Club Match Play Championship has been decided!

A big congratulations to Joel Edwards, who takes out the 2026 title after defeating Michael Curtis 4 & 2 in the final. 👏⛳

Joel’s road to the title:
Round of 16: defeated Daniel McConnell 6 & 4
Quarter Final: defeated Jordan Hartmann 1 Up
Semi Final: defeated Jared Henry 1 Up
Final: defeated Michael Curtis 4 & 2

Congratulations also to Michael Curtis on a great tournament and making it through to the final, along with everyone who competed throughout the Match Play.

Some very close matches along the way, including several going all the way to the 19th hole!

That’s a wrap! 🏆⛳️

How good — and how awesome — to see nearly 50 competitors take the course for a weekend of golf!

Well done and congratulations to those lucky enough to accept a prize! We look forward to seeing you all at the end-of-year celebration to collect a host of goodies!

A massive thank you to Danielle for her support this year and in the years previous. Her family has a special place at the golf club, and we really appreciate not only your sponsorship, but also you finding the time to attend the club and be part of the celebrations.

Thank you to Cheryl for managing the most important part of the weekend!

To our amazing grounds team, who produce one of the finest sand green tracks in Australia — thank you!

Troy and Sharon for taking care of breakfast and the BBQ after the game!

Day One Results! 🏆

Well done on some fantastic scores and great competition from today.

As noted in the information that went out pre-round, I don’t care who you share a cart with — the timesheet is final. 😂

Please note that I haven’t correctly scored the women’s leaderboard, as the champion is scored in gross.

Well done on today’s round by Teresa! She will take some serious chasing down tomorrow! Putting the field to shame!
