💧 FRESH FROM THE MOUNTAIN 💧
We often tell our riders that locals head up to the spring near the Chalet on kunanyi / Mt Wellington to collect fresh mountain water.
Our riders visiting from Singapore got to see it firsthand and, of course, a taste test was required! 💦
The verdict?
“Best water I’ve ever drunk!” 🙌
It’s little moments like these that make exploring kunanyi with TasMBA so special experiencing the mountain, its stories and the things locals love along the way. 🚵♀️🌿

The Springs to Cascade Brewery is one of Mt Wellington's classic rides, and winter days like this remind us of why we love calling Tasmania home.

🌿 Happy World Ranger Day 🌿
Today we’re celebrating the incredible park rangers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to protect the places we all love to explore.
From maintaining trails and managing wildlife to responding during emergencies, educating visitors and caring for our natural environments, their work often goes unseen but it makes every adventure possible.
As mountain bikers, hikers and outdoor lovers, we all have a role to play too. Respect trail closures, stick to designated tracks, leave no trace, be kind to those working in our parks, and help preserve these special places for the generations that follow.
To every ranger who dedicates their time, passion and expertise to keeping Tasmania’s wild places safe and thriving - thank you. Your work makes a lasting difference, and we are incredibly grateful.
Here’s to protecting the trails, forests and landscapes that inspire adventure every single day. 💚

👋 MEET THE TEAM - OLIVER “OLI” FEWSTER-SHARMAN
Some people discover mountain biking later in life.
Oli pretty much grew up with it.
His passion for riding started early, building and riding trails on his family property in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. Since then, he’s spent countless hours exploring Tasmania’s trail networks and is always keen to discover somewhere new - especially if there are technical lines, jumps and a good downhill involved.
With training and experience in outdoor leadership, Oli is also a qualified mountain bike coach and TASMBA’s go-to guy for riders looking to build their confidence, sharpen their skills and take their riding to the next level.
When he’s not on two wheels, Oli is busy completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering or filling his spare time with photography, reading and travelling .. although there’s a good chance he’s actually just maintaining his bike and getting it ready for the next ride.
Whether he’s guiding, coaching or hitting the trails himself, Oli brings plenty of skill, local knowledge and a genuine love of mountain biking to the TASMBA team.
🧡 Fun Facts:
🚵 Grew up building and riding trails on his family property in the Huon Valley.
🤘 Loves technical trails, downhill riding and sending jumps.
🎓 Currently studying Mechanical Engineering.
📸 Enjoys photography, travelling and exploring new places.
🔧 Probably spends almost as much time working on his bike as riding it.
If you’ve ridden or hit the trails with Oli, give him a shout-out below! 👇
