🌴⛵️ Adventure Sail 2026 – What a Weekend! 🌊🏝️

What an incredible weekend away with the Mission Beach Sailing Club crew!
We had 18 sailboats and 3 kayaks join us for our annual Adventure Sail to beautiful Dunk Island.

⛺️ Most of us camped out, while some were lucky enough to enjoy the island’s glamping tents!

🍔 BBQ lunches where a big hit, followed by dinner at the Dunk Island Resort and a bacon & egg breakfast to fuel everyone for another day of adventure.

⛵️Saturday afternoon saw the fleet split up for some fun racing — our Juniors battled it out around Purtaboi Island, while the larger boats headed around Timana Island.

🥾 On Sunday morning, plenty of the crew tackled the walk/run up Mount Kootaloo. The views were definitely worth the climb!

🏝️ And, of course, there was plenty of swimming, splashing and jumping off the jetty for the kids!

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who provided water support, helped keep everyone safe on the water, and cooked up some fantastic food throughout the weekend. These events simply wouldn’t happen without the time and effort of our volunteers. 💙

The crowd has spoken and Sunday breakfast is now on the menu! Coffee and a muffin - $8. Now that's a well-priced island breakfast. Serving from ~7.30am... Island time

We have the hungry sailors covered with our Dunk Island BBQ lunches and drinks - this SAT and SUN!
For those interested in a Sunday bacon and egg muffin breakfast, please let us know by letting us know in the comments. If we get the numbers we'll provide the brekky!
