This weekend we celebrate a very well-earned 100 games for Ben Barratt.
It’s taken Ben a little longer than he probably would’ve liked to get here thanks to his fair share of injuries along the way, but after finally crawling his way to triple figures, we couldn’t let the occasion pass without acknowledging one of Edwardstown’s great club people.
Known for his love of food, an impressive number of weekly “family birthday dinners” and his ongoing battle with Bluetooth while in charge of the B Grade music, there’s never a dull moment with Ben around.
Jokes aside, Ben is genuinely one of the nicest people you could have around a footy club.
He’s the kind of person who will always be there for his mates and always have your back. He gets along with everyone and plays a huge role in creating the connection between our A, B and C Grades — something that makes our club what it is.
Ben is a great role model, a great teammate and an even better mate, and his contribution to Edwardstown goes well beyond what he does on the field.
Reaching 100 games after everything his body has thrown at him is an achievement he should be incredibly proud of, and we’re very lucky to have him as part of our club.
Be sure to get down to the B grade final to support the season our boys have worked hard on.

🔵 100 Games Josh Holliday 🔵
Josh’s journey at Edwardstown began at a very young age, moving through the junior ranks from Under 8s all the way to Under 18s, racking up over 150 junior games and picking up multiple premierships along the way.
He’s always been a true clubman, following in the footsteps of his Dad, who played 300 games for the club. Josh grew up around the senior boys from an early age, helping run the old scoreboard and carrying water for the A Grade side, with his own A Grade debut delayed by a stint at West Adelaide Football Club playing reserves football.
Now, at 31, Josh finally raises the bat for his 100th game, a milestone earned through a battle with multiple injuries, one of which even had him wearing bubble wrap for protection!
Across those hundred games, Josh has been the number one forward for the A Grade, claiming multiple leading goalkicker awards and playing a vital role for the football club.
