Some moments as a coach are truly special🥋❤️
Years ago, I had the privilege of coaching these kids in Brisbane at Ohorijudo 大濠道場 . They were so small back then, and seeing how much they’ve grown today honestly made me emotional.
What makes it even more special is that they’re still continuing their judo journey🥋
They travelled all the way from Brisbane to train with us at KIZUNA Judo Gold Coast, and our guest coach, Tomomi, travelled all the way from Canberra to join us too.
I’m incredibly grateful that, after all these years, we can still share the mat together.
As a coach, one of the most rewarding things is watching children grow through judo.
Not only becoming stronger and more confident on the mat, but also learning discipline, respect, resilience, and how to support each other.
Every child has their own journey. Some progress quickly, while others take a little more time. But every step forward is something worth celebrating.
Seeing these former students come back to the mat reminded me once again why I love teaching judo❤️
