Lobezy Racing

The Beanie is all set for round 2 of the Hot Hatch Cup Australia series this weekend at Queensland Raceway.

She has had a few little setup tweaks and the new addition of a sporty 25kgs over the rear axle to slow it down more lol.

We are on track Saturday evening for our first ever race under lights then all day sunday so come out and cheer us on!

Massive thank you to Danny and Anika for letting me take over their workshop for the arvo on the weekend to smash it out and to Keith 4 Wheels for squeezing her in for a quick alignment check.

Looking forward to some more awesome, close, respectful and fun racing with the HHC homies!

Had a mega Friday racing in the beast of a racing KEG civic for the Motor Events Racing Clippy cup.
Jansen and the lads did an epic job prepping the car and it ran flawlessly from start to finish and ruffled some feathers with its speed and reliability too :p

We ended up 1st in class, P2 overall and secured the fastest lap of the day :D

So after an eventful first run here at the Rally Queensland x Sunshine Coast Motor Sport Club Inc. Street sprints I clipped the barrier out of the last turn and gave the s15 a slight wheel alignment rejig. 100mm of toe out probs not ideal but still crossed the line for 2nd quickest overall after one run.

Luckily enough Repco Noosaville had a new s14 rack end to help transplant into the s15 that would work. Emma Thoren scooted off and picked it up from Noosa for us and when she got back we realised the new arm didn't have as much thread for my rack end .... Doh!

Enter the legend Adam Randell from Velmec Automotive Service & Repairs to rush down to the shop for a quick hacksaw and retread to make things work and some help of some toe plates and tools from the legends from AK Racing: Nate Alan James and Blake we are on the deck, somewhat aligned and ready for run two after lunch!

Fingers crossed she is still at least 90% to have some fun and put on a show!

We are here at Lakeside Park Qld for round 1 of the Hot Hatch Cup Australia series in the Beani!
