Today is Lymphoedema Awareness Day. Lymphoedema can be a side effect of some breast cancer treatments and is a life-long condition that can cause debilitating pain and discomfort. In BCNAโ€™s 2018 State of the Nation report lymphoedema was identified as the most pressing information need for people with breast cancer. Following this, the establishment of more public lymphoedema clinics and funding for a National Lymphoedema Compression Garment Scheme is one of our top eight priorities for urgent action. If you'd like to learn more about why lymphoedema develops, signs and symptoms and what you can do to prevent it, you can join our interactive webcast at 7pm on Thursday 28 March where you'll hear from leading lymphoedema experts on these topics.
