18.-19. July 2026 - Toowoomba Swim Camp 2026

This is one of the favourite weekends on the United calendar and provides a fantastic opportunity for swimmers and families to come together for training, racing and team bonding in a fun and supportive environment.

We are excited that this year our swimmers will be supported by two coaches throughout the weekend, with both Head Coach Kirk and Coach Sarah attending.

Training and team activities will take place on Saturday, with a competitive swim meet on Sunday at Toowoomba Grammar Swimming Club. Last year's camp was a huge success and we are looking forward to returning in 2026, bigger and better once again.

• Training at Toowoomba Grammar Aquatic Centre
• Lunch with the team
• Check-in to accommodation
• Mini golf at City Golf Club
• Team dinner at City Golf Club

Sunday
• Competition at Toowoomba Grammar Swimming Club

Eligibility
This camp is open to swimmers who are currently enrolled in Mini, Junior, Intermediate or Senior Squad and hold a Competitive United Swimming Club membership for the 2026/2027 season (memberships open soon).

🏊‍♂️ Who is coming to the Padua Open Day tomorrow?

Come and visit us at the pool! We will have our brand new gazebo set up and our team will be there to answer all your questions about Club Swimming — whether your child is interested in recreational swimming, racing competitively, or just being part of a great club community.

We will even have a few treats to give away, so make sure you come by and say hi! 👋💙

United swimmers were out and about this weekend. Some of our older swimmers were shining in the 200m events at the Twilight Stroke Case Meet at Marist College while our youngsters were smashing PBs at Bracken Ridge.

Big moment for United tonight:

Heather has qualified for the B Final in the 50m Backstroke at Australian Age Nationals, currently sitting 13th after missing the top 10 by just 0.03 seconds — so close!

She’ll be back in the pool tonight at 8:12pm. Tune in live on 9Now and get behind her — let’s go Heather!

⭐ In Memory of Jimmy Sullivan MP ⭐

United Swim Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy Sullivan MP

Jimmy was more than a local representative - he was a keen supporter of community sport and a proud advocate for young people. Our club was fortunate to benefit from his encouragement, generosity, and belief in the value of grassroots programs.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jimmy’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew and loved him.

His contribution to our community will be remembered with gratitude, and his legacy will continue to live on in the opportunities he helped create for our swimmers and families.

Rest in peace, Jimmy. Thank you for the support you gave to our club and community.

Fynn was 'testing the waters' on the Gold Coast today. Look out for the golden cap on Saturday around 12:30pm, when he will be competing in the 50m backstroke. You can watch it all live on 9Now.

Oh the place we will go!
Our new gazebo, kindly sponsored by Councillor Danita Parry will come with us everywhere we go, providing much needed shade for our swimmers and supporters.

We really appreciate the support of our local community in helping our club continue to grow and thrive.

Safe to say Head Coach Kirk is very happy with the upgrade too 👍

United Swimming Club National Team 2026

Heather and Fynn were officially presented with their gear for Age Nationals and are all set to hit the blocks on the Gold Coast next week.

They will be racing against the best swimmers in the country — an incredible achievement and opportunity.

Wishing you both the very best of luck… we will be cheering you on every step of the way!
