📢 Keeping the arts alive in schools is essential to nurturing imaginative, resilient and culturally aware young people. The arts give students a space to explore identity, emotion and perspective in ways that academic subjects alone cannot. They build confidence, collaboration, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills that sit at the heart of thriving future citizens.
💐 When schools prioritise dance, drama, music, and visual arts, they protect a vital avenue for self expression and ensure that students experience learning that is joyful, humanising and connected to the world around them in a rapidly changing society. The arts remain one of the most powerful ways for young people to make meaning, challenge assumptions, and contribute their voices to the world.
🤍 If you are a lover of the arts, please help by voicing your concern. Share this post and help bring awareness to this major issue so the arts can continue to thrive for future generations.

🩰✨ Celebrating Our Exam Students! ✨🩰
A huge congratulations to all of our students who recently sat their Class Examinations! 💖

An exam is about so much more than the result. It represents months of dedication, discipline and perseverance—and the willingness to keep working when something doesn't come easily.

Students learn how to focus, work towards long-term goals, accept feedback and persevere when something is challenging—valuable learning skills that extend far beyond the studio.

At Academy of Dance Stanthorpe, we are committed to developing dedicated, confident and independent lifelong learners who understand how to work hard, reflect on their progress and continually strive to improve.

We are very proud of the commitment our students have shown throughout their exam preparation. Well done, dancers! ✨

Continuing the Push for Dance Under Play On! 31/07/2026

⚽️ Not every child is a sports star—but every child deserves the chance to discover an activity they love. 💕💃
For many children, dance is how they choose to be active. It develops strength, coordination, confidence, and resilience, all while encouraging creativity and self-expression.
Join us in advocating for dance to be recognised as a legitimate physical activity and included in the Play On! scheme, so more families can access the many physical, social, and mental health benefits that dance provides.
Being active doesn't have to look the same for everyone. 💙

🩵 Dance is powerful for both the body and the mind.
Research has shown that regular participation in dance can reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, strengthen cognitive function, and foster meaningful social connection. By combining physical activity with music, creativity, and self-expression, dance supports mental wellbeing while building confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
At Academy of Dance Stanthorpe, we believe dance is about so much more than learning steps—it's about nurturing healthy, happy, confident people who can thrive both in and out of the studio. 💙
