This morning has been spent trialling the obstacle course for our next BENKALDA CHALLENGE on 11th October. Little Champ and I gave the new obstacle course a run through and a tweak and we were both pretty happy with it. It has a nice flow and not too complicated. The patterns are set and they should showcase your walk, trot, canter depending on Beginner, Novice, Open. Here are a few photos from our last two Challenges. Happy faces. Happy horses. We will be posting the patterns/obstacle course on the weekend. Keep an eye out and nominate to have as much fun as these riders did.

The seasons have gotten themselves all confused. We refuse to rename our Spring Play Date despite the sudden return to summer over the weekend. Registrations coming in from new riders and frequent flyers who love to have some fun in the obstacle course. Spots still available. We'd love to see you here.

Our challenge course and range of obstacles in the arena provide an opportunity to improve your skills in quite a few disciplines. Events like cowboy dressage, ranch utility, working equitation all require familiarity with walking over things, dragging things, carrying things. At Benkalda you can have fun while you're doing it without the pressure of competition. Our team are happy to support you and give you some tips on how to best manouevre your way around the course and apply what you learn to some of these disciplines.
