⚠️ CHANGE ROOM CLOSURE ⚠️

Lords will be installing access control to the male and female gym side change rooms. This change is being introduced to help manage and mitigate risk associated with access to the saunas. Entry to these change rooms will require a valid fob or scannable barcode.

The installation will take place on 14, 15 & 16 October. During this time, there will be no access to the gym side change rooms, including the UAT. Alternative toilets and change room facilities are available near the group fitness studio, the café, and the squash courts.

Sitting volleyball takes off at Lords 🏐

People with and without disability are coming together on the court at Lords through a free sitting volleyball program delivered by Southern Cross Volleyball Club.

Their Come and Try Program gives newcomers the chance to discover the fast-paced and inclusive sport, with no previous volleyball experience required.

REMINDER: Enclosed shoes must be worn in the gym 👟

Please help us keep the gym safe by adhering to our conditions of entry:

✅ Enclosed shoes must be worn in the gym at all times (no Crocs, sandals, slippers, etc).

🏅 Our AUSactive Million Moves challenge wrap up 🏅

Throughout September, our staff, members and community joined the Lords team for AUSactive’s Million Moves, a 21 day national challenge encouraging Australians to move more.

The result?
34,229.75 minutes of movement, placing Lords 4th in WA and 24th across Australia. We also finished as WA’s top-ranked local government recreation centre!

A special shout-out to our top three movers:

🥇 Sofia Juria, Team Leader Customer Experience: 3,130 minutes
🥈 Karen, Lords member: 2,950.82 minutes
🥉 Jonas Gott, Gym Instructor: 2,715 minutes

Term 4 registrations are now open for our Lords Teen Fitness Program!

Designed for ages 12–16, our eight-week program helps teenagers build strength, coordination and gym confidence in a safe, supportive environment led by qualified instructors.

Each session combines:
- Machine work
- Free weights
- Safe technique tips
- Partner exercises
- Team circuits

Key details:
🗓️ 19 October-7 December
👉 Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays (after school)
✅ One session per week: $120
💪 Two sessions per week: $210

🔔 NOTE 🔔 Pickle Drop-in Sessions on break for School Holidays

Please note that our Tuesday and Friday Pickleball drop-in sessions will take a short break over the school holidays, from Friday 25 September to Friday 9 October.

Sessions will resume on Tuesday 13 October and Friday 16 October.

In the meantime, you're welcome to book a casual court to keep the rallies going! Court hire is $25 per hour, with discounted rates available for Lords members.

To make a booking, contact our reception team on 6229 6600 or arrange it during your next visit to Lords.
